10: The Time Chamber

I spent the next few hours in solitude. I knew that Vegeta would be with Trunks and everyone else, so I spent my time alone. I watched the news, looking for Cell, and heard his announcement about the Cell Games. I headed up to to the lookout, 'cause I knew I needed to go in the Time Chamber right after Kakarot gets out, otherwise my bitch brother will take my spot. 

Once I got up there, Tien and Piccolo were watching the news. It was talking about how the world had never seen terror like Cell. For some reason, this offended Piccolo. "You're kidding me... "Never seen" my ass! My dad released every murderer out onto the streets and overthrew the world government!" Of course, Vegeta took the opportunity to mock him. "Awww, look at the poor Namekian, lost and forgotten to time." The news continued. "Even the attack of the Saiyan's five years ago pales in comparison to this overwhelming threat, as if comparing a cataclysm to a rampaging toddler." To my great amusement, Vegeta got pissed off by this. "Bullshit! We turned an entire city to a glass floor!" 

"Awww, look at the poor Saiyan, lost and forgotten to time." Piccolo clapped back. The two of them began bickering, when we sensed Kakarot and Gohan emerging from the Time Chamber. "Alright now, Gohan," We heard Kakarot begin, "When you get out there, try not to brag. Don't let slip how much stronger we are. Otherwise, Vegeta will be all, "OH, BUT MY PRIDE, GRR, I WISH I WERE A CARROT"" This made me laugh. 'He's not wrong.' He continued, "Piccolo will probably just growl and grumble; really, it's too bad we're out of Namekians for him to absorb, then he'd be as strong as Vegeta." With that, he and Gohan walked out of the building, both in Super Saiyan. 

The moment they got out, they both started eating a big meal. Once they finished eating, Kakarot got back into his orange fighting clothes. Instead of Gohan changing into his old clothes, he walked up to Piccolo. He quietly asked him for something, and Piccolo stuck out his hand. "CLOTHES BEAM!" He shouted, changing Gohan's clothes to those of Piccolo's. I was suddenly very interested. 'That could be useful...'

Once he was ready, Kakarot teleported down to Cell. He returned about a minute later, saying that Cell was stronger than him. Once he said that, Vegeta spoke up. "What?! That's it, Rika! Get in the chamber, we're training for a year!" "Fuck off" "Oh, come on, don't let your anger cloud your judgement! You won't accomplish much training alone in there." 

I considered this for a moment. "Your right." My brother looked proud of himself, so I continued. "Hey, Piccolo! Wanna go in with me?" Both of them seemed shocked by this, but Piccolo smirked. "Bitchin'! Let's do it!" And so, Piccolo and I entered the Time Chamber.

"So, wanna train?" I asked him. "No, I'm gonna meditate." And with that, he flew away. 'Oh well' I thought. Thanks to the other Saiyan's, I knew what to work towards.

It has now been several weeks since Piccolo and I entered the Time Chamber, and I was dying of boredom. Usually I enjoy training, but it's tough when I'm alone in an empty void. I managed to get my Super Saiyan form stronger, but not to the level of Vegeta and the others. I knew that training by myself could only get me so far, so I approached Piccolo.

"You know, you should train with me."

"Why would I do that?" He asked, annoyed that I interrupted his meditation. "So we could both get stronger! C'mon, meditation can only get you so far." He still seemed reluctant, so I tried again. "How about this: If you beat me, I'll let you get back to meditating."

"Fine, but only because it'll get you off my back." We then began to spar. Even though he was powerful, I had managed to catch up to his strength in the past few weeks. But, although our powers were similar, his techniques and abilities gave him the edge. Anytime I would get close to him, he would stretch his arms out, pushing me away. After a long match, he managed to come out on top. "There, are you happy? Now leave me alone."
