With our hands shaking, Yoongi and I exchange our wedding rings and my heart beats so powerfully that I almost feel it ripping through my ribcage. Is this real? Am I really getting married?
The smile which persists on my lips causes my cheeks to hurt, but I don't break eye contact with my almost-declared husband. Because his eyes shine so brightly that they leave me breathless. And, while getting lost among those sparkles which burn vehemently inside his eyes, I understand how happy he is. How fulfilled. And I want this moment to last forever. I want him to hold my hands gently like this for an eternity. I want to see the reflection of his wife in his eyes until the last star in the sky burns into oblivion. I want to feel this happiness until my very last breath. And I want to honor the weight of this golden ring for as long as my love for him will last. Forever. That's how long I want this perfect moment to continue.Magnus: With all the power that flows within my being, I now solemnly declare you husband and wife. *he spreads his arms open* Let no one break apart those that have been joined together today. *his eyes glint with joy as he looks at both of us* You may now kiss the bride.
Vale's P.o.v:
A loud scream escapes my mouth as Yoongi and Denise kiss under the seal of Magnus's words. Two bright fire crowns burn on their heads and tears roll down my eyes like streams, ruining the light makeup I put on earlier. Seeing my sister getting married makes me feel so happy and I clap my hands and cheer as her husband swipes her off of her feet and kisses her even harder. And her smile lights up the room as soon as they part. Tears won't stop running down my cheeks and I try my best to memorize this moment as well as I can. I try to keep the image of Denise's silk white dress inside my brain, of her modest bouquet, of the wedding ring which gleams on her finger, of the fire crown which burns on her head and of the happiness which lights up sparkles inside her eyes.
I hold Taehyung's hand tighter and cheer louder when the newlyweds walk down the aisle together, hand in hand. Denise lifts the bouquet and winks towards me. And I laugh out loud, filling myself with bliss. Even during these woeful times, there exist reasons to be happy. A spark in the dark. And I'm so happy for the two of them. Happier than ever.
We eventually follow them in the castle's front yard and I drink the champagne that I'm given, observing once again how beautiful my sister looks. Denise's wedding dress isn't too fancy, but it fits her body perfectly and I know, for a fact, that Magnus tailored it for her. She looks stunning. The dress is long, with spaghetti straps and a deep v-line which drops all the way above her lower back. Also, her chest is beautifully displayed by a heart shaped neckline and her scar contrasts beautifully with the rest of her soft skin, showing proudly how strong she is.
I approach her with a smile and as soon as our eyes meet, we both tear up.Vale: *I hug her tightly* You look so beautiful, sister!
Denise: *she chuckles and wipes her tears with a napkin* Thank you! You too.
Vale: *I arrange the folds of my green dress* Whatever I could make out of a bunch of leaves.
Denise: It's amazing. And green looks perfect on you. *she says and winks*
Vale: Thank you! *I say with a smile and look left and right* Where is the music? Isn't the party going to start?
Denise: I didn't hire anyone to play music.
Vale: What? But what is a wedding without music?
Denise: *she smiles and looks towards the gates of the castle* There is a festival taking place in the market. I thought it would be better if we just joined the fun there.
