Magnus's P.o.v:

Widening my eyes, I read the first sentence on the page again. The book I was reading held the story of two lovers who had to part ways and I reached a plot twist which made my stomach flip. I was so caught in the riveting plot that I didn't even go to sleep last night. I didn't know what time it was, but it didn't matter. It was somewhere close to sunrise, since the sky was turning pink. Again, time didn't matter. I was heading to my reading spot in the garden. I had to finish reading this book. It was too interesting.
I didn't pay attention to my feet as I frowned. It couldn't be. He couldn't have left her behind like that. He abandoned her. Clenching my jaw, I kept on reading as I picked up my pace down the alley. It was true. He abandoned her. And her heart was burning inside her chest as it made a promise to wait for the love that would never return.
Cinder swirled before me and fell lightly on the page, right above the female protagonist's name. I frowned. Where did that come from? Lifting my gaze, I soon found out and I wished I didn't since my heart stopped beating at the sight in front of me. The beautiful colors of dawn got swallowed by angry, dark clouds which rushed to cover the sky. And cinder fell from them in light swirls, just like rain. With my eyes glued to the anomaly, I felt a light piece of cinder landing on my cheek. Raising a shaky hand, I wiped it off and my heartbeat increased as the book I was reading fell on the ground with a thud. Turning around, I ran back towards the house as quickly as I could, stumbling and hurting myself on the way. I had to reach my library. What I was seeing couldn't be true. It was just a legend. It was...
Searching through a shelf stacked with books, I found the one I was looking for in a hurry and pulled it out, dragging another three after it. The rest fell on the floor with muffled thuds as I held the one I needed in my trembling hands. I flipped its old pages in a rush and looked for the answer to what was happening outside. For the very core of the fear that was growing wildly inside of me. Gulping, I stopped searching when the prophecy written on the page matched the events that were taking place above my head. Above the world. A picture of a sky covered in dark clouds contrasted with the yellow page and I clenched my teeth at the sight of the thick black letters chaining up to form one of my worst fears: The Curse of the Black Sun

Evanora's P.o.v:

Walking slowly towards one of the hot springs that Tae San had created earlier, I looked around still mesmerized. I couldn't believe that he had the power to do all of these. On the ruins of the cave, he built a mountain. He used a drop of the power which he preserved inside his veins for centuries. And that amazed me. I was still feeling weak, but I knelt near him, feeling the rigid rock against my scratched knees. However, this time I didn't cry. I poured water on his back and massaged his tense muscles. I was so grateful. He saved me from death. He saved us.

Evanora: *I traced my fingertips on his shoulders* Thank you! For saving us.
Tae San: *I saw the reflection of his smile in the water* I should be the one thanking you, my beloved. *he admitted and kissed the back of my hand*
Evanora: How are you feeling?
Tae San: I feel... free.
