It was early morning the sun was just rising, Yoriichi was up and had prepared all the food that Naruko would need on her way to Wave Country and a bit more for the family they would be living with for a while. Yoriichi heard the shower being turned off, wet footsteps, and the opening and closing of the door followed by another door. As Yoriichi laid the breakfast on the table his back turned to the hallway he heard fast footsteps.
Yoriichi: You ready for your first C-rank mission-
As Yoriichi was turning around he stopped. Standing in the hallway was Naruko in her usual black outfit with orange strips with her black headband nothing out of the ordinary except there was a determined smile on her face, Yoriichi's Observation haki allowed him to pick up the determination just flowing out of her creating a storm in the room. Yoriichi couldn't help but give a smile back. He spoke in a loud and enthusiastic voice.
Yoriichi: WHHHHHHOOOOOO~ REEAAAAAAADDDDDDYYYYYYY FOR THEIR FIRSSSSSSTTTTTT MISSION!!!!!!
Naruko: ME!
Yoriichi: I CAN'T HEAR YOU~?
Naruko: I AM!!
Neighbor: Shut up! It's six in the morning!!
Yoriichi and Naruko just stared at each other before they busted out laughing. Next moment Naruko was trying to pull Yoriichi back from going out of the window ready to give the shitty neighbor a beat down. He shouted out at the neighbour.
Yoriichi: If you have enough time on your hands then, then Why don't you go find a real job! rather than sucking the Landlords's dick! Yeah lady you heard right your husband is gay!! and Your grown-up kid likes sucking dog dick!!!
Soon after breakfast, Yoriichi handed Naruko the sealing scrolls having them properly attached to her straps.
Yoriichi: Alright Naruko, What are the important things you need to remember during this mission?
Naruko started to name the things she needed to be aware of.
Naruko: To be alert of my surroundings, to keep my rations in check, keep my kunai and shurikens in check, make sure to grab them if we are not in a hurry, make sure to cover my teammates, not to get cocky, be ready to think on the fly-
Yoriichi nodded as Naruko finished the rest of the list.
Yoriichi: Alright you got everything down.
Yoriichi hugged Naruko surprising her but not unwelcomed.
Yoriichi: Make sure you survive, got it?
Naruko nodded as Yoriichi broke the hug and saw her out. He waved at her as she jumped travelling from roof to roof and going to the gate. After looking at the time Yoriichi walked out going towards the Sarutobi clan household as yesterday was his last day with Anko and after calming down a stubborn Anko he was told by Hiruzen that he had to meet up with Team 10, The laziest team ever.
There was a knock on the door of the Nara clan household Yoshino Nara opened the door to a red-haired man with his hair in a high ponytail, he had two swords on his waist but the most notable thing was that Asuma the leader of team 10 was damped he didn't have his cigarette like normal, behind the man was Choji and Ino tied up being dragged behind him they were covered in a bit of dirt.
Yoriichi: Good Morning Nara-san.
Yoshino: Good Morning and you must be Yoriichi.
Yoriichi: As one can expect from the most active Nara.
Yoshino: I don't know whether to take it as a compliment or as an insult.
Yoriichi: How about as a compliment to Ms Yoshino rather than The Nara Clan Leader?
Yoshino giggled
Yoshino: Aren't you a charmer? Come in Shikamaru is in his room.
Yoriichi handed Asuma the rope.
Yoriichi: If any of you run I will hunt you down and make your life a nightmare.
All three fearfully nodded. Yoriichi smiled at Yoshino and entered the household. Yoshino led Yoriichi to Shikamaru's room they stopped in front of the door. Yoriichi turned to Yoshino.
Yoriichi: I'll try not to break anything
Yoriichi entered the room closing the door behind him. Yoriichi looked at the sleeping Shikamaru. He grabbed the Nara by the back of his collar and gave him a good shake like making a drink. Yoriichi dropped him on the floor face-first. Shikamaru rubbed his head.
Shikamaru: What's the big idea?
Shikamaru looked up to see...Yoriichi, rather than his mother, is sure he can handle getting an earful from his mother but seeing Yoriichi here confused him, with his emotionless expression telling him something was going on.
Yoriichi: The Hokage is dead.
Shiakamaru's brain stopped his eyes widened as the words hit him.
Yoriichi: There was an attack on specific clans one of them was the Akimichi and the Yamanaka clan. Choji is dead and Ino lost an arm.
Shiakamru was frozen in place his were wide filled with dread and fear, his throat felt extremely dry his eyes felt like they were about to water. He could think of anything to say at all as if everything was just shut off. Suddenly he was slapped in the face, Shiakamru's eyes looked towards Yoriichi who spoke in an emotionless tone.
Yoriichi: We don't have time for you to mourn get up and get ready, be quick.
With those words, Yoriichi leaves the room just as he closes the door behind him. He looked to his left to see Shikaku Nara and standing there. Holding an emotionless expression.
Shikaku: Are you sure that was a wise choice?
Yoriichi: You think it is not?
Shikaku: No, more in the sense of extreme.
Yoriichi: You have raised Shikamaru in a good environment and showed him the good side of the world. I just gave him a pinch of the hard cold truth only not the bad side of the world. He froze when I gave it to him, So are you certain you want him to find out the hard way?
Shikaku remained silent he continued to stare at the back of the retreating Yoriichi till he disappeared. Shikaku could only sigh before walking away.
