Chapter 25

It's been a few hours since the massacre at the bridge. The news of Gato's death spread through the village like fire. Yoriichi had gotten the money and supplies from Gato's mansion and handed it to Tazuna who had gone around helping the village with it. Almost all the men in the village were helping in the creation of the bridge. Yoriichi with Tazuna and Tsunami's permission had gotten Zabuza in the house and let him rest along with Haku. He had bandaged Sasuke while the Monkey had bandaged Naruko's would and Tsunami had helped Kakashi. Right now he was trying to help Haku who kept refusing.

Yoriichi: Just let me bandage you up.

Haku: I can do it myself.

Yoriichi: No you can't. Naruko nearly shattered your ribcage and your body hadn't recovered from the shock. I can see your hands trembling.

Haku: I can do it. Don't bother yourself.

Yoriichi: Just what the hell are you hiding?

Yoriichi held Haku tightly and began removing the clothes till he reached the bandages on the shinobi's chest.

Yoriichi: What? Why do you have bandages on your chest? Were you injured before the fight?

Yoriichi touched the bandages. Haku blushed a crimson red at this.

Yoriichi: I don't feel any injury other than the one by Naruko. Just what the hell these bandages are for-

Yoriichi froze his eyes wide, he felt it. He had felt this before in his previous life. Even in this life, he could not ever forget such a feeling. He slowly looked at Haku.

Yoriichi: Wait a minute. You're a-

However, before he could say anything further the door opened. 

Zabuza: Haku I got a brief from Kakashi about what had happened on the bridge. I need to talk to you-

Zabuza froze as he finally entered the room. From Zabuza's Pov Yoriichi, he held a blushing Haku tightly in one of his arms with his free hand over the bandages on Haku's chest. Zabuza grabbed his sword and with a look of rage showed at the top of his lungs.

Zabuza: Get your hands off my daughter you bastard!!!!!!

Zabuza attacked Yoriichi. Yoriichi immediately stepped back avoiding the fist swing with Haku still in his arms. Taking advantage of the momentum Zabuza quickly launched a kick at Yoriichi however the redhead was already in the air. Landing on his feet Yoriichi quickly executed a lighting quick punch with Zabuza leaving himself open it was easy for Yoriichi to strike even Zabuza realized his mistake too late. Just as the punch that would have gone through Zabuza stopped. A shockwave left the punch shaking the room. Yoriichi pulled out his tongue and blew a raspberry at Zabuza. Zabuza felt his blood pressure rising to unreadable levels.

Zabuza: Let go of my daughter!

Haku: D-Daughter!

Zabuza froze as he realized what had said. Quickly he tried covering it up.

Zabuza: What No! No I mean Yes! Of fuck!

Haku: Is it t-true Zabuza-sama? You see me as a daugther.

Zabuza took a deep breath in. He couldn't avoid this now.

Zabuza: Yes. I do Haku. I see you as my daughter.

Haku began to tear up as Yoriichi lost his grip on her. Haku jumped out of his arms to Zabuza. Hugging him tightly. Zabuza hugged her back. Yoriichi smiled as he saw the sweet moment. After a while, they let go of each other. 

Haku: Thank you for everything you have done for me.

Zabuza: And thank you as well for giving me company.
