Yoriichi was sitting on a branch with Naruko beside him and Jiraiya was standing under the tree with his arms crossed.
Jiraiya: What are we waiting for exactly over here?
Yoriichi and Naruko had finished breakfast an hour ago and then met up with Jiraiya. Before they could leave Yoriichi had told them he had something to do. Naruko being ever curious followed Yoriichi. She felt like Yoriichi was a little distant from her since last night. Naruko despised it, this feeling of loneliness that crept back into her heart. It made her feel like the scared little girl in the dark alley with the whole world against her.
Jiraiya glanced down at the seal that Yoriichi had placed at the base of the tree. It held the kanji of "脉" for pulse. The sannin's senses told him that the seal sent a pulse into the ground after every half a second and it spread into the earth. He could understand the purpose of the seal.
Yoriichi: Our ride to the next town.
Naruko: I don't see anything.
Yoriichi: Here this might help.
Yoriichi wrapped his hand around Naruko's waist and the two disappeared. They were only gone for a minute before they came back. Before Jiraiya could question them Naruko shouted at him.
Naruko: Get ready!
The only thing Jiraiya could do was blink as the earth shook and a rope was wrapped around his waist. He screamed at the top of his lungs as he was yanked into the sky with Naruko and Yoriichi. It was only for a second but Jiraiya was able to glance at their so-called ride. His eyes widen to point they almost pop out of his skull.
