I jolted, my eyes stuck on the broken window. My heart rate sped up.
Footsteps encircled the outside like werewolves. Before I could react, Someone popped in front of the broken window with a flashlight.
I froze, my mind blacking out. A strong pull threw me down to the floor.
I opened my mouth to scream, but no words came out. I landed on a smooth, thin clothing surface possessing a trail of vanilla scent.
Oh gosh, am I...am I on top of Donnor in the middle of a warehouse floor?
"Check everything. Don't leave a single place untouched!" Another man's puffed voice came from the window.
Shouts rang outside, making me freeze and my palms sweaty. I lay still.
"Shhhh...don't say anything..."
Donnor hushed, his peppermint breath mixing with mine in a spice. I didn't realize how close my face was to his. His chest heaved up and down in calmness, pressing against my thin dress, digging underneath....
But my mind had different plans. And it was a silly plan.
"YOU---"
He grabbed my mouth, caging it close.
That puffed voice rose in a scream.
"You idiot! Look down! There must be someone on the floor! Investigate the doors!"
Footsteps grew louder. The man with the flashlight pointed the torch down. My heart dropped.
In one swift movement, Donnor rolled me on the floor. I hit a wall, resisting the urge to groan.
Donnor was now on top of me, his perfect blend of a body crushing me under his build-up.
The torchlight was to our left, hovering on the floor from top to bottom. We were to the far right.
Oh no...
"He...he will find us!"
I muffled through my shut mouth, shaking my head. He withdrew his hand. I gasped for breath.
His face was towering right above me. He grumbled,
"Shhh! Stay quiet! You idiot!"
IDIOT!?
"YOU PE--"
He leaned his face closer, staring right into my eyes. I stopped.
I don't know if it was the flashlight at play, but his eyes flicked down my face for a split second. Our eyes remained on each other, none of us spoke but the background noises from men.
"Gosh! I think I heard something..."
"Boss, the door is locked from the inside..!"
"Get it open! There is someone inside!"
He inched closer, his face now inches away from touching mine.
All the anger within me subsided. I don't know why. I hated this man to death.
His hand fidgeted with my drawstring. My heart stopped for a split second.
I whispered, not able to focus on how close his godly face was to mine under the dimness of a flashlight, that jawline..chin...eyes reeking of glaciers...those lips edging out the darkness..
Oh god. I hate myself.
"What...what are you doing...?"
He didn't tell me to stay quiet. He didn't say anything. The tip of his finger brushed against a micro speck of my thigh, burning a stupid hole as it did.
