Boulder Brothers.
The name I had first heard during the shootout.
"Uh... aren't they the ones behind the explosion?"
She nodded.
"They are. They know about your involvement with Donnor."
"Okay....so...what do they want to talk about?"
I asked, getting to the point.
Andrea stared at me, her eyes squinting.
"Do you really think I know that, Callie? All they did was put a gun over my head one fine night and force me to send you this message."
"Ah...."
I cleared my throat, trying to not freak out at the whole putting-the-gun-over-my-head part.
"Okay. Where and when?"
"Tomorrow. The bar you work at."
My eyebrows raised.
"They even know about the bar!?"
She nodded, drawing in a long breath.
"Look, Callie, if I were you I would be careful. They are fucking dangerous. Carry a weapon or something, even if they want to meet you at a public spot."
I nodded, tilting my head. Her eyes went on the glint of my finger. She held it, catching me off guard.
"What is this ring on your finger? Wait..you are married!? When!? How?"
I opened my mouth but pressed my lips after. Her mouth hung open, her eyes widening.
"Callie!? When did this happen?"
I exhaled.
"Ah...nothing much..trust me..it's nothing..."
"Okay...but who is the husband? When did this happen?"
I scratched my forehead, blocking the view of my eyes.
"Uh...he is in LA....happened a few days ago..."
She jumped out of joy, believing what I said in an instant. Oh well.
"I am so happy for you! Not going to lie, I thought for a split second back in Hawaii that something was going on between you and Donnor..."
I didn't say anything, instead hid my fingers. Something got stuck in my throat. I coughed.
"Uh..nothing was going on...what do you mean...Andrea...he is a fucking terrorist..who killed my dad...and now is behind my mom..."
She giggled. I shouted, getting irritated.
"What now, Andrea!?"
"Callie..." She held my shoulders with one of her bright expressions - wide smile, shimmering eyes.
"Did you not see how he was flirting with you back then? That's some huge shit. He hates it when women flirt with him, let alone flirt himself."
Something stung my heart. I don't know what it was. A surge of anger. My hands clenched in a fist.
"I don't care about him. He is dead for all we care. Why do you even care, Andrea? It's good to see that he got what he deserved."
She flinched,
"Ouch! Spilling venom, huh?"
I rolled my eyes.
Is she for real!? He was a freaking terrorist!
"Anyway, you want to stay here or something? It's been a long talk. It's safe to assume we both need some sleep."
