"But just know I'll wait. I'll wait for you to come back to me. Even if it's forever, even if it's in another life, I'll wait for you."

When they got back to their apartment, Angelica was lost in her thoughts. She was embarrassed by the display of emotions that had occurred to her at the cemetery. She hated being vulnerable and even more she hated that she let slip to Violet something she wasn't supposed to. She had practically begged Violet to never leave her again and she knew how confused her violet must have been at the request. But what shocked Angelica was that Violet agreed with her and promised she wouldn't leave.
Despite it all, Angelica hoped that Violet would keep her promise. When she had told her dad earlier that eventually she'd get out of Angelica's hair, Angelica's heart had dropped. She had forgotten that this arrangement of them living together was temporary and that eventually, Violet would leave. She didn't want that to happen. She had gotten used to them making meals for each other, leaving colourful post-it notes around the house, sharing late-night snacks and secret hushed laughs in the dim light of the refrigerator.
"I'm going to go wash up and do some school work before starting on dinner. Is that okay?" Violet's voice broke Angie out of her trance and she looked at her. She felt a rush of pleasure run through her when she saw how gorgeous she looked wearing Angelica's dress.
"Yeah, you can go ahead but I'd rather order some takeout today. I usually order dumplings and watch movies in my bedroom on this day... My mom and I used to do that." She replied, her eyes burning at the memories of her and her mom snuggled up together on their couch watching a movie and trying to see who could eat the most dumplings as they waited for Caine to return home.
"Oh," Violet said, her eyes wide at the revelation. "Yes of course we can get dumplings and I won't bother you tonight! I'll be in my room if you want to talk though." She made a move to walk away after giving Angelica a heartstopping smile but Angie held on to her wrist to stop her movement.
"No, I'd like it if you could join me when you finish your work." She said staring into her roommate's hazel eyes, focusing on the hints of gold that sometimes shine under the light and she could see them widen at her words.
"Okay, I'll join you," Violet said and Angelica smiled.

An hour later Angelica was settled on her bed, her mountain of red pillows behind her head and a tray on her lap, holding a dozen dumplings, sauces, water and some fruits for after. Violet sat next to her, awkwardly sitting up as she set her laptop up with the movie Angelica told her and then she put it up in front of them and pressed play.
"You can sit more comfortably, you know?" Angelica chuckled as she looked at Violet and Violet huffed.
"I didn't know we were going to do this in your bed! I just don't know how to act." She said, a red hue coating her cheeks and Angelica was surprised that the younger girl was actually shy. She knows Violet to be confident and to see her become a flustered mess simply because they were having a movie night in Angelica's bedroom sent a rush of satisfaction in her.
