"Violet, are you sure we won't get caught?" Angelica asked as she let Violet pull her out of the fields and village and into a world where she never even dreamed of entering.

"We won't! Don't worry." Violet said as she kept pulling her favourite person into her world. She had been waiting for Angelica to finally give in and give her her agreement to leave the village for a day and to spend it with Violet in the city. There were so many things Violet wanted to do with her best friend/maybe lover in the city.

They kept walking deeper and deeper until the quiet of the forest became the loud of the bustling city. When Angelica finally caught sight of people her breath hitched and she looked down at her outfit self-consciously. She was wearing clothes that looked like rags while everyone else around her was adorned in fancy dresses and tailcoats.

"Hey, come on, I know exactly where to go!" Violet said as she started walking faster towards all the tiny little shops lining up the streets.

Angelica watched with wide eyes at the big crowd, she had never seen so many people all in one place. The people in her village were always working or hiding in their homes so it was rare to see so many kids running around and adults briskly walking to different stores with their arms full of bags.

Angelica didn't realize that Violet had pulled her into a store and when the smell of baked goods hit her nose she couldn't stop the small grumble leaving her stomach if she tried.

"Where are we?" she whispered to Violet who was still holding onto her hand as they walked to the counter where there was a display of so many desserts Angelica could recognize some of them from the ones Violet would bring to their meet-ups and her heart warmed.

"My second favourite place in the world." Violet grinned, looking back at Angelica. "What's your first favourite place?"

"Your arms, of course." Violet giggled lightly when she noticed how red Angelica's face got from her words and she squeezed her hand one last time before dropping it to ring the bell on the counter.

"I'm coming!"

The girls watched as a small old lady came from the backdoors of the store and her whole face lit up when she spotted the blond waving excitedly.

"Oh, Violet! I've missed you, dear." She said as she wiped her hands with a bright pink towel and that's when Angelica realized that everything in this bakery was strangely pink. And bright.

"Hi Del! I missed you too, can I please get two chocolate cupcakes?" Violet asked and Del nodded and quickly got them out.

"How are you, sweetie? Are the preparation with Dan-"

"Wow!" Violet suddenly shouted, interrupting what Del was saying and startling Angelica. "Is that..pink frosting?" She giggled and Del stared at her in confusion.

"All my frosting is pink." She said and Violet laughed with nervousness. "Ah, right! Silly me."

Violet turned to look at Angelica and the latter stared at her with raised eyebrows basically asking her silly girl what on earth she was saying but Violet only blinked back responding that she had no idea either before clearing her throat and grabbing Angie's wrist to pull her forward.
