Wedding night ||

Divya sat on the bed with her knees against her chest, waiting for Atharv to arrive. Her eyes grew heavy and she fought to keep them open, feeling exhausted. She sighed, glancing at the bedroom door before looking back at the wall clock. "Why isn't he coming? I'm so tired!"

She stretched her arms a little and laid back on the bed. Closing her eyes, she placed her right arm above her eyes and soon drifted off to sleep, entering her Dreamland.

Meanwhile, Atharv, who was busy practicing his imperfect flirting skills, took a deep breath. Looking at the rose in his hand, he slowly made his way into their bedroom.

"My love... My life without you is like bhel puri without chutney... But with you by my side, it's like dosa with extra ghee," he said with his eyes closed, extending the rose in his hand. He smiled, still keeping his eyes closed.

He had hoped to hear her laugh, but she didn't even respond. Frowning, he opened his eyes and was taken aback by the sight before him.

Divya was fast asleep, her face a peaceful expression. Atharv couldn't help but chuckle at the irony of the situation. He carefully placed the rose next to her on the bedside table and leaned down to give her a gentle kiss on the forehead.

"You must be exhausted, my love," he whispered softly. "Don't worry, I'll annoy you later, but for now, I'll let you rest."

He gently started taking off her jewelry, as they looked uncomfortable. While taking off her mangtika he stared at her vermilion filled partition, finally she's all his, his Divya, his love, his wife. His everything.

He slowly caressed her hair, trying to feel it, leaning towards her hair he took a sniff of her lavender scented hair before placing a kiss on her hair. He resumed taking off her hair pins and after what felt like eternity, he finally was done with it.

He made a face, staring at the pins. "Why do they have to wear all this shits?" He collected them and placed them on the side table near their bed.

As he tucked Divya in, Atharv couldn't help but smile at her peaceful form. He gently pulled the blanket up to her chin and sat on the edge of the bed, watching her sleep. He admired the curve of her lips, the fluttering of her eyelashes, and the rise and fall of her chest with each breath.

Atharv reached out and brushed a few strands of hair away from her face, a tender smile playing on his lips. He marveled at the love he felt for this incredible woman, and how lucky he was to have her as his wife.

Lost in his thoughts, Atharv didn't realize how much time had passed until he heard a soft snore escape from Divya. He chuckled softly and leaned down, placing a gentle kiss on her cheek.

"Sleep well, my love," he whispered, his voice filled with adoration. "I'll be here when you wake up."

With one last loving glance at his sleeping wife, Atharv went inside the washroom for a quick shower, leaving her to peacefully dream in her slumber.

After a few minutes Atharv came out of the washroom with a fresh pair of sweatpants and a cotton T-shirt. He looked at Divya, she was sleeping soundly, a small smile tugging in his lips. Leaving the wet towel on the couch he went towards their bed.

Getting inside the comforter, he admired his wife, giving a quick peck he adjusted himself comfortably on the bed before closing his eyes to sleep.

Atharv's eyes fluttered open as he rubbed them, a bit disoriented. He turned to look for his wife but found no one beside him. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, and just as he was about to call out for Divya, the closet door clicked open. Divya emerged slowly, fixing her saree as she did.
