IN RETROSPECT, after everything went downhill with Warren and the woman vendor, it didn't take long for Matthew to come outside and check what the uproar was all about. The moment Matthew saw his son getting mauled by those aggressive reporters and paparazzi, he quickly ordered his bodyguards to handle the situation and protect Warren at the same time.

When Matthew's bodyguards succeeded in chasing away the media, Matthew and Warren went back to the Spider Web Empire right away.

It's been an awful lot of hours since the incident at Archery Academy, and Warren has been getting a nasty scolding from his father.

"Idiot!"

Napapikit si Warren nang mariin at hinayaang tumama sa kanyang pagmumukha ang makapal na newspaper na binato ng ama niyang si Matthew.

"Did your position in this company get inside your head, boy?! How could you act so reckless?"

Tahimik na pinulot ni Warren ang newspaper at tinignan ang front page kung saan nakasulat ang buong nangyari kanina.

Warren Vyne Summers—son of Matthew Summers—was a brute and ill-mannered person.

"The son of Matthew Summers, owner of the Spider Web Empire, was seen at Greenhills, Manila—"

"Do you have anything to say for yourself?"

Ibinalik ni Warren ang tingin sa kanyang ama at handa na sanang sumagot, pero nalunok niya ang lahat ng kanyang sasabihin nang makita ang matatalim na tingin nito.

Warren lowered his gaze and stared at the carpet instead. "No, father. I... have no excuse for what happened. It's my fault."

Warren flinched in surprise when Matthew slammed his hand on the table. The rage radiating from Matthew was so profound that it's making all the hairs in Warren's body stand.

However, Warren knows he deserves all the anger he's receiving from his father. He lost his temper, and more importantly, he lost control. For a moment, being rational completely left Warren's body, and all he wanted was to let go of his anger and direct it towards the man with the most gorgeous ocean eyes—which was exactly what happened earlier.

The experience itself was very discombobulating, because Warren never once burst out of anger like that. Yung galit na naramdaman kanina ni Warren ay ibang-iba sa galit na inilalabas niya kapag nakakagawa ng mali ang kanyang mga empleyado.

The rage he felt towards the man with blue eyes were personal.

Maybe that's why it was so difficult to control it, because my anger was personal, and I never had a personal beef with someone from the past.

Ang lalaking iyon ang pinakauna.

"This scandal could cause us millions worth of contracts, Warren! I never expected this from you. What a disappointment."

Warren woke up from his train of thought after he heard his father's words. Then he felt an intense ache in his heart that almost had him gasping for air. Warren couldn't remember the last time his father was this enraged with him.

Unfortunately, it's still an unpleasant experience.

"I'm sorry, father."

"Is that all you have to say?! Sorry? Tingin mo ba maibabalik ng sorry mo ang nasirang reputasyon ng Empire?!"

Mabilis na naikuyom ni Warren ang mga kamay niyang nakatago sa kanyang likuran, at sinubukang kontrolin ang panibagong galit na namumuo sa kanyang dibdib dahil ayaw niyang makisabay sa kanyang ama.
