I woke up to Finn shaking me. Groaning I turned around, but couldn't because of someone's arms around me. I looked up and saw that I was laying on a sleeping Isiah. Looking confused at Finn, he said: "You fell asleep on him yesterday and we kinda fell asleep too. But come on wake up I'm hungry and we've got to go to Tommy's". I rolled my eyes "why do I have to cook?" I asked annoyed. "Because Finn will burn it and the house down" said Isiah chuckling underneath me. I looked at him and gave him a small smile saying "Morning sleeping beauty". Isiah rolled his eyes at me when I got dragged of him by a hangry Finn. Rolling my eyes I walked to the kitchen and made an English breakfast for me and the boys. After eating with little to no chatter, Finn stood up and said "Right let's go". "Uhmm excuse me I need to change". "Jenny you look fine we're going to be late" said Finn annoyed. "I don't take orders. I don't even take suggestions. So why don't you guys sit your pretty little assess down on the couch, while I make sure that I look entrancing okay?" I said walking to my room and went to search for a black dress in honour of John. (Whole outfit except for the face).

Finishing up my hair I walked downstairs and met up with the guys. "Let's go before Tommy sends out another search party for you" said Finn annoyed getting in the car. "You looked good before but now you look fabulous" said Isiah. "Watch out Isiah, before one of my brothers hears. You might regret it" I said with a teasing smile towards Isiah. He grinned and whispered in my ear "I'll never regret complimenting you". Giving him a wink I enter the car. Finn was fidgeting the whole ride and ranting at me for taking so long and about possibly getting a lecture from Tommy. We finally arrived and I let out a big sigh after leaving the car. "Are you okay? I'll be right by your side the whole time" said Isiah while Finn was already at the door looking more annoyed by the minute. "What? I'm fine. I'm just relieved that Finn stopped whining". "Come on!!! Tommy's gonna get me head if we don't enter now!". Rolling my eyes I walked through the door and entered the meeting room. Everybody stopped and looked at us. Isiah went to stand by his dad, while me and Finn sat down while Tommy stared my ass down.
"Why are you guys late? Did something happen?" Ada asked. Finn answered with "Jennifer took ages getting herself ready". "Well sorry Finn for trying to make myself presentable, you should try it once in a while" I said looking at him. He rolled his eyes "well you-". "Stop it.. Jenny where were you yesterday?" Said Tommy annoyed. "I was in small heath, why?". Tommy got aggravated and said" Small heath? Seriously where were you I had all my peaky blinders searching for you after nobody had seen or heard from you since the day before yesterday!!... What if something happend to you too? Huh? You thought about that? So for the last time where where you yesterday? Huh? You got a fellow??".
I looked at Thomas and rolled my eyes "I would say Thomas that it's a pleasure seeing you again, but I would be lying. Now stop with the act and fake pleasurites. I'm only here to protect my family from getting one too many bullets from your enemies". I arched my eyebrow at him "Can we start the meeting now? I've got things to do after this". Thomas clenched his jaw but saw that this conversation wasn't going anywhere yet without one of us leaving the room. So, as the smart man he is, he started the meeting. He told us about the situation.
Finn filled a glass with whiskey for everybody. "John is dead" said Tommy accepting the drink. "Esme's gone on the road with the Lees. She's taken the kids... Michael is badly wounded. They say it's 60/40-". Polly interrupted him saying "There's no numbers. No percentages. There's only the hand... the hand beneath him that keeps him falling. Spoke to someone. My son will live". Tommy sighed and continued "Michael en John were shot because we killed someone. Vincent Changretta. His son Luca is here to take revenge. He took men from New York and Sicily. They won't leave this city until each and everyone of us is dead. That's how it goes an eye for an eye. It's called vendetta". "Well.." said Arthur while getting a bullet out of his pocket "it says Luca". "When the time comes and it will fucking come, me as the oldest brother will put this through his fucking head". Tommy continued "there's some bad blood between us-" Polly laughed at this "Polly please" said Arthur. "Until this business is settled, we stay together... we stay here. Small heath, Bordesley, Hay Mills down to Great. We know every face, every man is a soldier in this army. These men are professionals and they're good at what they do, so we're gonna need more than we have. I sent a message to Aberama Gold-". "No. No, Tom. I'll get you 50 Lee boys. Good men, Tom" said Johnny dogs frustrated. "I don't need good men Johnny". I stopped listing it was doing me head in. I stared at the wall thinking about John. How funny he was but so overprotective. He once broke a boys nose when I was 4 years old, because I said he looked cute. John told me that he didn't look cute anymore because of the broken nose so I should forget about him. I got lured out of my thinking state when I felt a warm hand on my hand that was resting on the chair. I looked down at the hand and then to the person it belonged to. Finn. He looked at me intensely.
Finn's pov:
After voting peace I looked at Jennifer. She looked out of it, just smiling while staring at the wall. I placed my hand on hers and she finally looked at me. I tried reading her expression or eyes, but nothing. She just looked at me blankly. I looked at her and repeated "Peace". Jenny turned around and took her hand away. She crossed her legs and laced her hands on her knees. I immediately felt disheartened.
Jennifer's pov:
After Finn's vote I couldn't believe it. I should've seen it coming since he still talked to Tommy and did his bidding. He needs Tommy's and Arthur's approval so much it annoys me to no end. Family has each others backs and that is the only reason i voted "Truce". Polly voted truce for herself and Michael since he was unable to join the meeting, while Linda refused to vote.
"Five for peace. 3 for truce, one abstention. Let's get on with the war" said Tommy walking away.
