Episode 4.1 - The Victors' Home

[The first thing we see is Viv sleeping alone in her bed at her house in the Victors' Village.]

[We see flashes of her nightmare as she tosses and turns in her sleep.]

[Nightmare: Vivienne is standing on the platform in the arena, watching as the countdown begins.]

[Viv is seen flinching in her sleep.]

[Nightmare: The countdown reaches zero, and she starts running; however, as she runs, she suddenly stops and turns to see Brad's bloodied body on the floor, with a sphere sticking out from his stomach.]

[A close-up of Viv's face is shown, and you can see how her face starts scrunching up.]

[Nightmare: She goes to run to Brad, but everyone suddenly disappears, and the room starts rapidly filling up with water.]

[Nightmare: Viv is gasping for air as she tries to swim above the water, but soon, she is forced to swim under the water, looking around hopelessly in the water.]

[Viv's face continues to contort, and beads of sweat start to coat her face.]

[Nightmare: Struggling to swim, she keeps trying to get out, but nothing works.]

[Nightmare: Eventually, the water around her starts turning into red blood, causing her to panic even more.]

[Suddenly, Viv sits up in her bed panting and shaking with tears rolling out of her eyes.]

Nat frowns at what is happening on screen. Both she and Blake are no strangers to nightmares. There have been times when one of them wakes the other because they were screaming. It was something they had grown used to, and although it's not ideal, they deal with it together and support each other. However, now seeing the type of things Blake dreams about, Natasha just wanted to wrap Blake in bubble wrap and protect her from the world.

Natasha did realise that, sadly, she could not wrap her lover in bubble wrap, so instead, she did the next best thing in her mind: she tightened her hold on her fiancé. She kissed her forehead while silently vowing to always protect her.

[She shakes her head for a moment, trying to clear her head, but it doesn't work, so instead, she stands up, gets dressed and leaves her room and then her house.]

[We now see various parts of District 11 in a montage.]

[People are walking through the streets lined with houses.]

[Children playing games with marbles in the town centre.]

[A group of people climbing up trees picking the fruit.]

[A farmer opening a barn, allowing the animals to enter the field.]

[A bunch of people working on the fields collecting crops.]

[The montage ends when we see Viv walking through the District with Thresh at her side. He had his arm rested around her shoulder as they moved.]

Thresh: So, how was your Capitol visit?

[Viv refuses to look at him as they walk but fakes a smile as they walk forward.]

Everyone had known Blake long enough to know that the smile on her face was fake, and they didn't blame her. What they witnessed on the screen was awful, and they can bet that was barely the tip of the iceberg of everything that happened during her stay.

Viv: It was alright. I had to attend a few Capitol events, but that's it. I'd rather be here.

[Thresh looks at her for a moment. He can tell that she is lying but doesn't question it, knowing that she will talk to him when she is ready.]
