You walked out of school looking at your phone.

You already said your goodbyes and were focused on your next task.

You were staring at your emails and debating on how to go about this.

You had a couple of ways you could go about this, either come across as desperate and hope Crystal would accept your invitation, which you didn't really like the idea of.

You could also try to use your family name to gain ground. No doubt she's heard of it, maybe shes even seen your face in a couple of photos. You didn't want to intimidate her, but you didn't want to come across as just another rat in the industry.

You opted more for the innocent girl type. You would always smile and answer her questions without hesitation. Plus, this would help when running into Gun because you did this when you talked to him. It would be suspicious if you switched up.

So this is how your email was read.

_______________

Dear Crystal Choi,

I hope this message finds you well. I would like to invite you to a dinner with me, a representative here in Korea of the [Y/n] industry, to discuss an opportunity of business between our parties. I look forward to your response and thank you in advance for your consideration.

If any further details are needed, please contact me through my direct Email, thank you.

_______________

You were satisfied with this as you closed your phone and decided you would make one more stop before home.

It's been a while since you checked up on your business. Even if it's not in your name, you are still the only one maintaining it. You already had an adequate amount of money in your account, and you could just ask for money.

But that's not much fun. And it's better to learn like this. The ups and downs only give you more experience to work with.

You put your phone to your ear after selecting a contact.

"Yo, Gabriel." You were steadily walking down the street.

"Been a while, boss." You heard a TV on the background of the call.

"Yeah.. the place should be back open by the end of the week, I'm on my way there now to check everything."

"That's great, I was starting to think I'd need to find a new job..."

You just laughed lightly at his comment as you were watching the sky. The sun was starting to set, and your body was a bit tired. You've been putting too much strain on yourself lately.

"Yeah, well, I'm here now. I'm assuming you're just chilling at home, so I'll stop bothering you."

You heard him chuckle on the other line. He sounded a bit tired himself.

"Yeah, see you soon."

You hung up the phone and put it in your pocket.

Staring forward at the closed sign on the double doors. You haven't been back here since last week, but you still kind of missed it.

You took out a key and unlocked the doors, hearing a click as you pushed them forward and stepped inside.

The place was quiet, void of any people you would normally see in this type of setting, but it was clean now. The shards of class and broken tables and chairs were completely gone, and it was a refreshing sight.

You sat down on a stool up next to the main bar, and you sighed as you set your bag down on the counter.

It was nice to be in here, like taking a break, there was no one and nothing on your mind as you just looked around, your eyes wondering to anything as you seemed a bit out of it.

You had a long month ahead of you. Your usual quick-whitted mindset dissolved after a while, and it was going to take at least a day for it to fully recuperate.

Today wasn't bad at all. It was just the build-up from the days before that was taking a toll on you. But you shamed yourself for this. If you weren't able to handle this much, then what were you to achieve?

RING

You took your phone back out of your pocket. You didn't know who would be calling you at this time.

RING

You couldn't think of something you've done wrong for it to be Eugene.

RING

Would Crystal have responded this fast?

CLICK-

"Hello?" You didn't bother putting it to your ear, so you just put it on speaker and laid it on the wooden counter in front of you.

"[Y/n]." The voice was deep and low.

You had to take a second, almost jumping back by instinct. This is when you finally looked at the caller ID.
