(GORE/ MORBID DESCRIPTION)

Blood was everywhere. The truck was crashed into the guard rails and pieces of it were scattered along the road, as well as pieces of her.

"Oh God—! Please..." The old man cried out as he fell to his knees near her body.

What were you doing again? Right. Finding help for Zoe.

It's not like it was your fault anyway. She was the one who ran into the road, you weren't planning on it.

Zoe was the priority. She was in pain and hurt, you left her alone for this.

You just needed some help.

"Excuse me, sir?" You slowly walked up to him.

He was still crying.

"Sir?" You placed your hand on his shoulder as you knelt down beside him. "Do you have your phone on you?"

He looked back to you, pain in his eyes, seeming to still be in shock.

"Well?" You tightened your grip on him, bringing him back for a moment.

He slowly nodded his head and reached into his pants pocket, taking it out and holding it.

You quickly snatched it out of his hand to call the authorities. Your first priority was getting an ambulance here to get Zoe.

As you heard the responder's voice come through the line you took a moment to look down. You were stepping on pieces of flesh.

Your shoes practically soaked up the blood as your weight pushed down on the squishy substance.

"Hello?" Their voice brought you back.

"Oh, sorry." You calmly apologized as you put the phone back up against your ear.

Screaming and crying could be heard in the background.

"That's fine... Is there an emergency..?"

Her hesitant tone seemed oddly off-putting to you.

"Well, there's a girl who suffered a head injury and needs medical attention." You said while looking back from where you came from.

"Can you tell me where you are?" She asked quickly.

You gave her as much as you could, but you still didn't quite know yourself.

You tried moving away from the guy crying so that you're able to have a clearer idea of what the person on the phone was saying.

"An ambulance is on its way, Can you describe to me the injury?"

You thought back to right before you left her, her exhausted smile and lack of movement.

"It was caused by a small metal hammer, there is minor bleeding, though I'm sure that's passed by now." You recalled.
