The Meeting

​"Jun, wake up." I said walking into her room the next with an apron around my waist making her groan.
​"If you don't wake up, you won't have time to eat breakfast." I said making Jun sat up while saying sleepily, "I'm up, I'm up."
​"I'll be downstairs then." I said before I made my way back down the stairs and into the kitchen to finish cooking breakfast. While cooking breakfast, Jun made her way into the kitchen with a yawn before she sat down on a chair.
​"Good morning." I said as I begin setting up the table and Jun responded while stretching her arms, "Good morning."
​"All right, let's eat." I said as I sat in front on Jun before we begin eating.
​"When's your meeting?" Asks Jun while we were eating and I look up at her saying, "Ten."
​"I can walk with you to the school?" I asks making Jun shook her head saying, "I'll be fine. You just do what you need to do."
​"Are you sure?" I asks and Jun just nodded her head since she had some rice in her mouth.
​"I'm off then." Said Jun once we had finish breakfast and I was in the kitchen washing the dishes.
​"Take care." I said making Jun wave a hand towards me before she left the house carrying a wooden sword in a sleeve.
​"Guess I'll take a shower and get ready to leave." I said as I look at the clock and it reads 8:00. Once I was done with my shower, I put on a black business suit before I made my way out of the door locking it and made my way towards the train station. By the time I reach downtown, it was already 9:30 so I hasten my pace towards Hiro Corporation's main building. When I reach the building I stared up at towards the many floors before I made my way inside the building towards the reception's desk.
​"Hello, and how may I help you today?" Ask the woman looking at me and I said, "I have a meeting with Hiromichi-san."
​"Very well and your name is?" asks the woman
​"Asakura Akira." I said making the woman nods her head before she type my name onto her computer before she says, "Ah here you are, Asakura Akira." I let out a breath of relief as I tried to remember if I told Tanaka that I had my name change.
​"Take this badge and keep it with you at all times." Said the receptionist and I took the badge with my name to pin it against my chest.
​"Take that elevator to the twenty fifth floor and someone will take you to the...."
​"That's fine, I will take him myself. Thank you Kurisawa-san." Said a voice from behind me and I turn around to come face to face with Hiromichi Tanaka. Tanaka is a man in his early thirties who wears glasses along with a heart-warming face.
​"Hiromichi-san." Said the receptionist as I bow my head before saying, "Nice to finally meet you Hiromichi-san."
​"Me too, Kira. Now shall we get going?" said Tanaka before I nod my head and begins to follow him towards the elevator.
​"I would like to thank you for coming here despite what has happen." Said Tanaka once we were in the elevator and I said, "It's nothing sir."
​"To tell you the truth, I was excited to finally meet the strongest player of GSA." Said Tanaka and I smile saying, "I'm not the strongest sir. There are a lot more stronger players than me."
​"Modest eh, I like that." Said Tanaka with a smile as the elevator stop and we got off. Tanaka led me towards a door before he opens it to reveal a rectangle table along with nine black leather chairs that were fill with men and women wearing business suit except for two.
​"Ah, everyone's here." Said Tanaka as he went to the front of the room with me following and when we were standing in the front of the room, Tanaka said, "Everyone thank you for being here today, this is Asakura Akira, or as you all know him Kira." I made a bow towards everyone as they all started clapping their hands.
​"Kira if you would." Said Tanaka gesturing to the empty chair next to his and I nodded my head before taking the seat.
​"Now before we begin, how about a little introduction everyone?" Said Tanaka making the men and women nods their heads.
​"First of all, we have our head of the publisher team, Fuji Sakura." Said Tanaka and a woman with short black hair wave her hand towards me.
​"Next is the development's head, Takamura Shio." Shio a man with wavy black hair wearing glasses nodded his head
​"Nakamura Daichi, our head of the designer. Moto Mio is the head of the artist team. Our programmer and level designer, Futada Hikaru and Sakamoto Rie and finally our sound engineer and tester, Urabe Kise and Fujimoto Yuki." Said Tanaka introducing the rest of his team and I bow my head respectively towards each of them.
​"Shall we begin then?" said Tanaka sitting down surprising me.
​"Judging from your expression, it seems that our director did not give you the full details, Asakura-san." Said Rie and I look at her before smiling bashfully making Tanaka said, "Oh that's right I forgot to tell you didn't I."
​"Kira, I may have told you that you are meeting with the team to help give ideas but what I am really hoping is to create this game with you." Said Tanaka surprising me so that I said, "Wait what?"
​"Excuse our director, what he means is this is a job offering and you will be hired base on your actions and how the well the game sells." Said Shio and I look at him in surprise before I bow my head saying, "Thank you for this opportunity."
​"Let's begin shall we?" asks Tanaka and I nodded my head.
​"Kira, how about you lead this meeting." Suggested Tanaka with a smile surprising me once more and I nodded my head before saying, "Then may I ask what kind of game are we looking to produce?"
​"As you all know, GSA is the very first VRMMO game that has been successfully produce to go along with the Neuro. This new game, that is going to be release with the Neuro II will be a new VRMMO game that will let you use magic so basically another typical RPG game but instead of pressing buttons you'll have to cite the prayer." Explains Tanaka and I nodded my head before saying, "I see a new VRMMO with the ability to use magic. I must say that is impressive."
​"I knew you would like it haha." Laughs Tanaka making me smile
​"What is the name of this game then?" I asks making Tanaka open the folder in front of him before handing me a sheet of paper. I took the sheet of paper as Tanaka said, "That's a list of the names that we thought of."
​"Hmm, did you already think of a plot for the game? What kind of system or characters is going to be used?"
​"This boy is everything you said he is, Hiromichi-san." said Shio making me look at him in surprise as Tanaka said, "Well, what can I say, he reminds me of me when I was his age."
​"It's nothing Asakura-san, it's just an off topic conversation." Said Shio making me nod my head before we spent the next few hours going over the new game.
​"Kira-kun, over here." Said Sakura as I made my way into the cafeteria carrying my lunch tray and seeing Sakura sitting at a table with Mio, Hikaru and Rie I made my way over to them.
​"Kira-kun, may I ask your opinion on Ragnarok?" asks Rie suddenly as I sat down and I said, "Ragnarok, I have to say, that was the hardest event boss that I had to face."
​"Did you enjoy it then?" Asks Rie as the people around us shook their heads and I smile saying, "Immensely." Rie smile brightly before Sakura said, "Just ignore her Kira, Rie was the one came up with Ragnarok and when she saw how you defeated Ragnarok without losing a single hit point she went overboard."
​"I actually had a difficult time trying to avoid its attacks." I said as Sakura and the rest started laughing while Rie look angry.
​"I have to say though, I was really impress with how you are doing in the game as a solo player." Said Hikaru and I turn to him saying, "It's not really that impressive is it?"
​"What are you talking about?" exclaim Rie loudly surprising me so that I turn to face her
​"Out of the millions who play GSA, I never saw a gamer with such promise as you. As a fellow gamer to another, I'm still freaking out about how you defeated Grimm Reaper and Ragnarok."
​"That's true, the way you over came the cool down bar by combing one wield combo with duel wielding combo. Let's just say, Hiromichi-san have high hopes for you as so do we." Said Mio in a calm and collective voice making me blush slightly.
​"This should do for today." Said Tanaka an hour after lunch when we were back inside the meeting room.
​"Kira-kun, do you need a ride back uptown?" asks Rie who had taken a liking to me but I reply, "No thank you. I have somewhere to go before getting home."
​"Next time then." Said Rie and I bow my head saying, "Ok."
​"Hiromichi-san, I would like to thank you again." I said now talking to Tanaka who just smile saying, "It was nothing. I would see you tomorrow then."
​"Of course." I said before making my way to the door.
​"I'll be off now. Bye." I said turning around for one last bow and the group wave bye at me before I turn around to open the door to make my way towards the elevator. Once I was inside the elevator, I took out my cell to look at the time and seeing that it was just five minutes after two, I let out a breath of relief. When the elevator stop, I made my way to the receptionist's desk to return the guess pass when she said, "Oh, Asakura-kun, Hiromichi-san told us to give you this." She then handed me a laminated id card and I took it to see a picture of my avatar from GSA so I raise my eyebrows.
​"It's your id card for working here, every employee has one and Hiromichi-san thought it would be best if we use your character's avatar for your id since we did not have a picture of you." Explain the receptionist so I nodded my head saying, "I see. Thanks. I'll see you tomorrow then."
​"Bye." Said the receptionist with a smile before I turn around putting the ID card into my wallet as I made my way out of the door. Once I was outside, I made a light jog towards the train station before getting on the train that will take me uptown. When the train made a stop at my stop, I step off the train to begin making my way towards the school. I reach the school just as Jun and her kendo members were making their way towards the entrance so I yelled, "Jun!"
​Jun looks up towards me at the sound of her name and when she saw me, she made a smile before hastening her pace.
​"You didn't have to come here." Said Jun even though I could hear the happiness in her voice so I smile saying, "I just got off from meeting with Hiromichi-san."
​"Jun-Senpai, bye." Said Elizabeth from afar making Jun turns her head to wave a hand before she said, "See you tomorrow, Liza-chan, Rei-chan." Making both Elizabeth and Kirei wave their hands towards us.
​"Shall we go?" I ask making Jun nods her head with a smile.
​"So how did it go?" Jun asks me while we were walking towards the house and I turn my head to look at her before saying, "Don't tell anyone that I'm telling you this but Hiromichi-san said that if this new game goes well, I will be working with the company as soon as we graduate."
​"Really?" Asks Jun and I nodded my head before she squeal happily saying, "Congratulations."
​"Thanks." I said slightly blushing as I smile.
​"I was even given this." I said pulling out my wallet to take out my ID card and Jun took it to examine it.
​"Who this?" said Jun pointing to my avatar character and I smile saying, "Hiromichi-san thought it would be a great idea to use my avatar from the game."
​"So this you from your game?" Asks Jun and I nodded my head making her said, "Eh, this doesn't look anything like you. I mean he's more handsome looking than you."
​"What? Give it back." I said trying to get the ID back making Jun giggle as she ran ahead of me saying, "If you want it then come and get it."
​"Jun, give it back." I said while running towards her only to have her start running full speed as she put the ID card in her pocket.
​"Jun watch out." I said as Jun turns around to bump into three men who were smoking making her fall to the ground.
​"That hurted." Said the man who had orange blond hair with multiple earrings on his left ear as I came to help Jun off the ground.
​"I'm sorry, we weren't looking." I said bowing my head as Jun came to stand behind my back.
​"Apologizing won't do you no good." Said the man to his left who had shoulder length black hair as the man to his right who had short spikey black hair nodded his head.
​"Jun run." I whisper shifting my head towards her making the man with the orange hair said, "What was that?" I turn to look at him before saying, "Can't you forgive us. It's not like we did anything wrong?"
​"This punk's talking back." Said the short black hair man with a smile as I narrow my eyes at them making the shoulder length hair man said, "Nice eyes you got there boy. I don't like it." He then punches me in the face sending me flying to the ground.
​"Kira!" said Jun as she ran towards me dropping her wooden sword in the process as she knelt beside me.
​"Come here bitch." Said the man with orange hair before he grabs Jun's hair making her scream loudly in pain and I open my eyes to see Jun's sword beside me.
​"Let go of her." I said as I slowly stood up as Jun's screams pierce the quiet afternoon making the three men look at me before the orange hair man said, "What was that punk?"
​"I said let go of her." I said turning around holding the wooden sword making the three men started laughing.
​"What are you going to do about it?" said the orange hair man who is still holding Jun by her hair and I raise the sword saying, "I will make you pay if you make her drop one tear."
​"That's a big threat there punk. Do you have the balls to go through with it?" said the orange hair man before he smiles and begins pulling harder on Jun's hair making her scream in pain before a small tear trickle down her eyes.
​"Oops, I made her tears fall. I'm so....Urgh." Grunted the man in pain before he made a few steps back only to fall onto his knees holding his stomach as his two companions had a look in shock. I was now standing between the orange hair man and Jun with the tip of the sword pointing towards the man.
​"I told you that I will make you pay." I said in a deadly voice as his two companions ran to him to help him up.
​"Get that bastard." Said the orange hair man pushing his companions forward and they ran towards me with their fist raise. I narrow my eyes and ran towards the two men before sliding to my knees to make a spin to hit to the back of their legs before I stood up to stop the sword between the orange hair man's eyes.
​"Ah!" Yelled the orange hair man in fear before he fell onto his butt as his two companions fell onto their butts to massage their legs.
​"I said we're sorry didn't I?" I said in a deadly voice making the man nods his head before he gets up saying, "Let's go." His two companions then stood up and they started running way limping.
​"Jun, are you ok?" I ask running towards Jun before sliding on my knees in front her and she begins crying into my chest.
​"It's ok, I'm here." I said in a soothing voice as I slowly groom the back of her head.
​"I was so scared." Said Jun still crying into my chest and I smile before saying, "Don't worry, as long as I'm with you, I'll always protect you." This made Jun calm down enough before she lifts her head saying, "You promise?"
​"I promise, now let's go home." I said with a smile as Jun begins wiping her tears before she nodded her head and I thought, "Even if she's is the strongest girl I know, she's still a girl."
​"Kira?" Asks Jun as I turn around to grab her sword case making me turn my head to look at her.
​"Can I...can I hold your hand?" She asks me making my eyes open wide before I smile and nodded my head while gesturing my right hand towards her. She took my hand grasping it between her fingers as I swung her sword case over my left shoulder and we made our way towards the house with her walking closely by my side.
​"Here." Said Jun once we got closer to the house and I look down to see her holding out my ID card so I smile saying, "Hold on to it until we get to the house." Jun nodded her head before she place it back inside her pocket as front of the house came into view and we enter it.
​"Go take a bath and I'll begin making us some dinner ok." I said still in a soothing voice making Jun nods her head before she finally releases my hand to make her way up the stairs while I set her sword by the couch and enters the kitchen to begin making dinner.
