Voice of Love[Discontinued]

Chapter 2

Cassius's POV
"Cassius!!!!!!" Someone shrieked at my ear. I immediately bolted straight up from my slumber state then, looked around wildly for that person. I look to my right and saw my twin sisters Cassie and Cassia, as you can see my family loves the name 'Cass' . They looked at me giggling crazy at my wild state, I gritted my teeth for their wake-up call to me. They went swimming for their lives when I glared furiously at them, when I arrived I greeted my father and mother politely, then swimming fast again to find those two brats, instead I arrived in the library where precious scrolls are kept.

I heard a giggle to the left and to the right, I pretended I suspected nothing and then, as fast as I could I swim upwards then saw my sister hiding behind a bookshelf and the other one on the right. Is mirked deviously then I reached for a rope. As I waited for the perfect timing, the sisters went straight for the middle, as fast as I could swim, I wrapped the rope around them. Then, they began struggling while I just hold them tightly.

"Ok!!! We surrendered Cassius" both of them yelled simultaneously. I released the rope and both of them swam towards me, hugging me tight and I hugged them back. Three of us went to the throne room and saw our father, looking at us curiously especially me. While my mother looked at us with glee and she swam towards both of my sisters, then she whispered in their ears about something I do not know. My father stood up, walked towards me professionally.
"Son, we have to discuss something that involves your future as king" He spoke  "To this day , you must find a wife to become King of all mermen and mermaids by going up to the human world to find one or I can arranged one of the mermaids here for you". Right now my face is like a blowfish with my mouth gaping and my eyes bulging out, even my sisters has the same face as me.

I thought of the proposal carefully, then asked
"When am I gonna go to the human world?"
"Until next week son, four guards will accompany you and your sisters while your mother and I will stay here to keep the kingdom safe. Also remember that no one must know who you are, they will hunt us to near extinction if they know about us, you can only tell about our kind to your future wife" He said sternly. I nodded my head clearly understanding my responsibilities when I swim up above, me and my sisters swam outside the castle then swam over to our hiding place where no one could see us.

"So your gonna find a wife huh?" Cassie said

"Will you still hang out with us when she comes?" Cassia said

"Of course and maybe both of us will play with both of you!"

They looked up with hopeful eyes and grateful smiles, we played each other for a while then swam back to the castle.  While they went to their bedrooms, I swam to the library to help me what to do in the human world, I think I stayed about 2 - 3 hours inside with learning all about how to walk, run, jump and many more in the human world. Until,

"Umm... Honey? Are you sure about this going to the human world? Besides we could just find a suitable mermaid here for you" my mother said uncertainly.

"It's fine mother, there are many things up above I wish to understand, explore and talk to different people" I spoke in a soothing voice.

She smiled at me then hugged me tight like she wouldn't see me in a couple of years. I swam back to my bedroom holding a book all about learning the human world, I laid there in bed staring at the ceiling thinking about red-haired beauty in my mind at a street singing.
