It was time for us to eat since we were all getting hungry. Jarquavius scouted a restaurant that we didn't notice the first time we came here.
"Do y'all want to go there?" He asked.
"I don't know where else to go. We might as well eat here," Keith said.
"Very convenient. Good looking out for us Jarquavius. I'm glad you're good for something," Malesha said.
"Oh baby. I'm good for a lot of things. You better ask around about me." He winked at me.
"Whatever. Let's go." Malesha pulled me in the direction of the restaurant. Probably needed some space away from Jarquavius.
"Wait don't we need to wait on Melina and Antonio first?" I scanned the place for them, but they were nowhere in sight.
"It's okay. I'll text them to let them know where we are. We can wait on them inside."
"Melina must think that following around Antonio is going to make up for what she did. I just don't know why Antonio put up with her. All she does is-
"Shut up Keith. Why are you always talking down about Melina? You are just mad that she doesn't give you any attention," Malesha seethed.
Jarquavius bent over slapping his knee as he laughed.
"I don't need or want any attention from her. She acts like a-"
"Don't you dare," Malesha hissed interrupting him again.
While Jarquavius cackled away at their exchange, Malesha and Keith were having a stare down. Gerald and I got involved and separated them. I was relieved when Antonio and Melina showed up.
The animosity that Malesha had for Keith intensified when we were seated. She continued to glare at him. Keith didn't care. He didn't look bothered at all. Jarquavius was amused by it all. I was happy when the food came.
"What's going on?" Antonio asked.
It shocked me that Antonio spoke up. He was usually quiet, but nobody was talking at the table.
"My guess is that Keith or Gerald must have pissed off Malesha. She does look mad. How about one of you start talking," Melina said.
"She defended and excused your behavior like always. You are always running up behind Antonio as if you're friendship is going to be same. I can tell that he hasn't fully forgiven you," Keith explained.
"Sweetheart, you sound bitter. Antonio and I are great friends."
"Miesha is going to eventually find out. I'm sure Miesha already questions your behavior. People who look from a distance asks why you act the way you do toward Antonio. He is not falling for your antics."
"Miesha doesn't need to know a damn thing. I don't know her. Besides, this has nothing to do with her Keith."
"Relax." The playfulness in Jarquavius was gone. "No need to talk about this. We are past all that. Right Antonio?"
"Jarquavius is right. We shouldn't be discussing this. Why do y'all have to bring this up now?"
"That's Keith and Gerald talking about it." Melina had a childlike tone toward Antonio like she didn't want to get in trouble.
"I bring it up because we can't keep ignoring it. Antonio, you act like nothing happened, Malesha doesn't care, and Melina, you think this is cool when it's not." Keith motioned to how Melina was in Antonio's space.
Malesha startled me when she rammed her fist into the table. Some of the plates shifted. "If you say one more word about this, it's going in your face next."
