Weekend  as get-togethers weren't always a prospect I was fond of.

In my eyes they were like funerals, people just come to pretend they are in favor of you for free liquor and food.

This one was exceptionally different, it was intimate. Sweet company, good food and good music.

The air will be electrified with elation all bestowed by one exceptional individual.

Irie.

I invited Irie, the girl who plagued my dreams, left my mind puzzled and soul-smitten.

Asking her out in the cafeteria caused my heart to beat with excitement and a tinge of nervousness, it's been months-  No years, since someone has caused my body to have such fervent reactions.

Getting dressed I put on a white and blue jersey, a black leather jeans, my watch and a pair of white and gray sneakers.

Catching my hair into a man bun I spritz on some Sauvage cologne, doing a once over in the closet mirror I fix the single golden necklace I always wear and nod my head in approval.

Good looks? check. Drawz droppin cologne? check. Target? Irie Lee.

Taking up the dish of Escovitch Fish that Ms.Jean had prepared for the get-together I placed it on the back seat of my car and made my way towards Myles' house, "Alkaline's Energy" blasted through the speaker of the car I shouldn't be driving.

Say it today, and mi ago say it tomorrow...
A me run tings.

Parking my car in the driveway I picked up the food and entered the pathway to Myles' house.

I must say Myles had outdone himself this time, the outdoor pathway spilling out into the garden had white string lights.

As daylight began to fade, the lights illuminated the way to the string light canopy.

I stared at the living room, where the dreamy atmosphere extended, the entire room looking brand new, Jada Kingdom's "Realize" softly played in the background.
