"You better be here to tell me you're my neighbors, I just got my hopes up." Sunwoo smiled at me and then Changmin separately.
I just couldn't stop staring--and I should have been staring at his face but I couldn't peel my eyes off his bare torso.
"Jo. Did you have something you wanted to say to him?" Changmin asked from next to me.
I swallowed, I had no thoughts in my head other than holy shit.
"Jo!" Changmin whisper shouted at me.
"Huh?" I said, forcing myself to look back at Sunwoo's face who wore a very visible smirk.
He let out a silent laugh and had an entertained expression while watching me.
"We live here!" I said finally.
"Fascinating," Sunwoo smiled.
"I'm Ji Changmin," He stuck his hand out politely. "I live in the house on the other side of Joy's."
"And what are you to her?" Sunwoo asked bluntly, snapping me back into the present.
"Hm? She's my best friend." Changmin answered cluelessly. "Since we were born basically."
"Ah." Sunwoo rested his arm on the doorframe, and maybe he was doing it on purpose, but flexed his muscles while doing so.
"So anyway." Changmin added. "On an unrelated note, if anyone were to ever do something bad to her--said person's balls would be kicked to the next universe."
"Changmin!" I nudged him.
"Welcome to the neighborhood." Changmin smiled like it was nothing.
Another thing about my best friend, was that he is a horror fanatic. And you would never know what someone with such a cute and innocent face would be capable of.
"Well, consider me welcomed, and threatened." Sunwoo said. He had this million dollar smile that might have even charmed Changmin.
Suddenly there was a shout from somewhere further in the house. It sounded like someone calling Sunwoo's name, but the speaking was so slurred I couldn't tell.
I didn't want to pry, but I saw how Sunwoo's confidence faltered for a moment. He cleared his throat and stepped out onto the porch with us, closing the front door.
"Jo give him the fucking--the cake! you're so useless! I would have gone by myself if I knew you were going to gawk at the first sight of someone's abs." Changmin said.
"Shut up!" I said through a clenched smile and I turned back to Sunwoo, determined to only look at his eyes. Luckily his large brown eyes were just as impressive as the rest of him. There was a mischievous glint to them which only made me like him more.
"This is for you." I held the plate out to him. "And your family, of course."
Sunwoo stuck his finger into the white frosting and licked it off. "Did you make this?" He asked.
"M-mmy mom did," I stammered and my face heated up immediately at how flustered I was getting. This is ridiculous.
I could practically feel Changmin beside me slapping his forehead, while Sunwoo just watched me with amusement.
"Tell her thanks." Sunwoo took the platter from me and in doing so our fingers grazed against each other. "We'll enjoy it."
I felt something in my stomach.
"You got any siblings?" Changmin ruined the moment per usual.
"Nope. Just me and my dad." He answered casually.
