Ash, Brock and Misty find themselves lost and accidentally find themselves in Goldenrod City but Ash can't challenge the gym at the moment as the gym leader is out and Ash isn't strong enough to fight the Gym Leader yet.
Ash, Brock and Misty explore Goldenrod to find themselves at the Goldenrod Radio Tower where they meet DJ Mary who is interviewing Professor Oak for her talk show.
Ash is brought onto the radio show being somebody who has a competed in a Pokémon league before hand. The Team Rocket Trio attempt to kidnap Professor Oak but are defeated by Ash and the group. Ash, Brock and Misty say goodbye to Oak and Mary as they are pointed towards the right place.
