Episode 130: "Tricks Of The Trade"

Ash, Brock and Misty return to Kurt to see what he has found about the GS Ball. Kurt reveals that he has sadly found absolutely nothing on. But Kurt reveals that it is possibly actually a ancient Pokèball and that it could hold something "legendary". Kurt tells the trio that he will keep it with him and see if he can get some outside knowledge about the GS Ball.

Saddened by the discovery that they probably won't learn the truth about the GS Ball, Ash, Brock and Misty make a call to Professor Oak, who has arrived back in Kanto, who says that everything will be fine and asks how Ash's journey through Johto has been going. Ash reveals to him his first two gym badges and Oak congrats Ash on how good he has been doing before hanging up.

Before Ash, Brock and Misty are able to leave the town, Kurt invites the trio to the "Pokèmon Swap Meet" and the trio decide to go with him. Kurt reveals he wants to find somebody to trade his Wobbuffet with. The Team Rocket Trio overhear this and decide to head with them so they can get their hands on very powerful Pokémon.

Ash, Brock, Misty and Kurt arrive in Palmpona and go up to the town square where they find that 1,000s of people have gathered there to trade their Pokémon. Ash, Brock and Misty find themselves in the middle of the craziness and Team Rocket also.

During the craziness, Jessie accidentally trades her Lickitung with Kurt for his Wobbuffet. It's revealed that the machine Team Rocket and Kurt were using was a machine made by Team Rocket in a attempt to steal other people's Pokémon. Team Rocket is sent blasting off again by the explosion of the machine.

As the festival concludes, Kurt decides to keep Lickitung who he decides to keep care of until a better trainer comes by to take care of it. As the Team Rocket Trio finally land, Jessie learns she has accidentally kept the Wobbuffet and decides to keep it until she eventually gets her Lickitung back one day.
