Ash, Brock and Misty have made it to Azalea Town. While in Azalea, Ash finds that Eevee is running amuck and he attempts to catch it but keeps failing as it gets away from every time.
Ash, Brock and Misty visit a nearby battle dojo and meet a young man by the name of Shingo who has given up battle all together after loosing too many times. Ash decides he wants to help him while also getting help with catching Eevee.
Team Rocket learn about the Eevee and go after it attempting to catch it. Ash helps Shingo and ends up having a 1v1 between his Heracross and Shinto's Scizor. Shingo ends up winning but has to help Ash, Brock and Misty defeat Team Rocket with Ash gaining the trust of the Eeevee.
Ash says bye to Shingo who plans on meeting Ash in the Johto League. Ash ends up catching the Eevee who he plans on using against Gary in the future.
