Chapter Nine: Chicken NuggetsSong: I like us better when we're wasted
Dedication: Andrea_Andrea_Andrea
---"What?" I look at him, my eyes the size of the sun.
Jesse looks down at me and a faint smile appears on his face. "Do you hate me?" He whispered.
I thought about that.
Did I hate him? After all that he's done... Can I hate him?
Anger spiked through me as I thought about what he and his little minions have done to me all these years.
I pushed Jesse away and walked over to my bed.
"Yeah." I whispered. I don't know if it was the truth or a lie... It just seemed to fit. "I guess I do."
All those years of him pushing me down. Stealing my homework.
I couldn't just forgive him.
Jesse sat down next to me and I flinched. "Why?" He asked.
Signing I get up, "That's enough questions for today!" I clap and walk over to my closet. "I'm gonna get out the annual New Year games so..."
Jesse laughs, "You, my friend, are not gonna play games. You, my friend, are coming to The New Year Blow Out." Jesse grins and wiggles his eyebrows.
"No." I immaturely stick my tongue out at him. "I'm staying here and watching the ball drop on the TV!"
I swing around my bed post and hop onto my bed.
"Esther! You have to go once in your life!" Jesse hops up there with me. "You must!"
"Nope!" I hop back down onto the floor. "Annual things are annual things Jesse!" I skip around the room.
"Okay," Jesse then hops back down onto the floor. "We should probably stop jumping everywhere," He chuckles, "This is starting to seem like a musical."
Flashing him a smile I begin to belt out the lyrics to Defying Gravity.
"STOP!" He covers his ears and runs playfully out into the hallway. "You're gonna kill Jesse Junior with all those dying noises!"
I stop.
Look at him.
Blink.
Blink.
"I'm scarred for life." I whisper and jump onto my bed.
Jesse walks back into my room and sits next to me.
"Seriously, can you please come to the Blow Out party tonight?"
I look at Jesse and he runs his hand through his hair.
"Hmmmm." I tap my chin in wonderment, leaning close to his ear.......
"NO!" I yell and he all but fly's onto the floor.
"You've left me no choice." Jesse pulls out his phone and dials a number.
"What are you..." I try to look at his phone but he dances around the room while holding the phone to his ear.
"Hi mate! I need you to call Jordan. We are kidnapping Esther. 'Kay?"
"Hey!" I yell and slap the phone out of his grasp.
"What!" Jesse shouts back with a smile. "You are going to that party. With or without your full agreement!" Jesse stomps his foot with approval.
Glaring at him I shake my head. "Jesse, I'm not going to that party." I go and sit down on my bed.
