Looking out the window of my room I see a white blanket covering the yard.

Snow is ugly.

Don't get me wrong, I love snow, it's just so cold it's ugly.

"So, what do you want to do tonight? I can order pizza and we can chill," Jesse suggests while throwing the toy basketball up in the air and catching it.

Rolling my eyes I say, "Fine," and continue to look at the falling snow.

Today it Saturday. It's been five days since school started back up from break. Nothing unusual has happened, besides the fact that I am now popular and Lizzie is trying to murder me constantly.

Not physically.

She wouldn't dare break a nail, she is just always making stupid comments and everything.

"Okay, I'll order it then." Jesse clicks  some buttons on his phone and I hear a ding confirming the pizza has been ordered.

"What kind did you get?" I ask, my voice plain with no emotion.

"Kind of what?"

"Kind of pizza," I reply.

My mind is swimming with all the horrid combinations that Jesse could have ordered. He could have gotten squid, or mushroom, or ramen noodle!

Oooooh, my mind says, ramen noodle actually sounds appealing.

"Cheese," he states while still throwing the ball up in the air, I don't even think that he was paying attention to me really anymore.

"Okay," I nod my head in agreement. "So what do you want to do now?"

His eyes flick over to me and a small smirk flashes onto his golden face. "Maybe," Jesse starts while standing up, "we can teach you to be a more realistic girl friend. I mean... just act like you know a lot about me and we're madly in love. Just try.. a lot."

"Hey!" I shout, "I am a perfect actress! See!" I get up from my chair and cough a bit to get into character.

"I am Jesse," my deep man voice surprises me as well as Jesse. "I am full of testosterone. I have muscles. I am on the football team. I used to wear princess underwear." I continue to list off random facts that I had collected about Jesse over the course of our old friendship.

When Jesse has had enough of this, he strides over to me and clamps a hand over my mouth.  "You better not actually think of me as that person anymore Little Duck."

Licking his hand he finally releases my mouth.

"Little Duck?" I ask. "Why 'Little Duck?' Why not something amazing as, oh, I don't know, Magnificent Dragon?" I stomp my foot and hop onto my bed.

"Because babe," he puts a little emphasis on the word 'babe,' while coming to sit Indian style next to me. "That name is already taken."

"By who?" I ponder aloud.

"You know. Me!" His smirk has returned and he looks as if he has just made the best discovery ever.

"Ya," I agree which only makes his smirk widen, "I agree that that name is already taken by me." His smirk then vanishes and his lips go into a scrunched up form.

"No," He states, his lips still pursed.

"No what?"

"No, you can't just steal my animal. That's mine. I am the dragon. The dragon is me!" Jesse bursts up onto his feet and starts to move his arms in a fake flapping motion. He runs around the room like this and I watch him.
