*Ellie's POV*

"Stevie, did you eat my leftovers from the fridge?" I ask Stevie standing in front of the tv so she could no longer see.

"No..." She says and kicks the container under the couch.

"I specifically told you not to eat it, why did you?"

"I was hungry and you weren't home anyway."

"I was in the studio trying to produce a new album while you sat your lazy ass on that couch and watched Netflix all day." I yell getting more angry with her by the second.

"I already finished my album."

"I know, but now I'm back from a long day with nothing to eat." I say and look at her apologetically for yelling at her.

"Give me a minute to go get dressed and I'll take you out." She says and gets up from the couch. She never goes without fixing the problem that causes our fights, even though I continue to walk away from them. I don't know how she can be such a good person and forgive me all the time. She is the best girlfriend anyone could ask for, and I don't feel like I'm good enough for her. "Ready?" She walks into the room with a big smile. I nod and can't help but smile back at her. She put her arm around me and and leads me out to the garage.

"I'm sorry I got so mad at you, it was stupid." I apologize.

"Don't apologize, you had a long day. I completely understand."

"Why aren't you mad at me? You're never mad at me."

"Not true, I do get mad at you. I just can't be for more than a couple minutes because I love you too much."

"God, would you stop being so fucking perfect?" I push her lightly as she backs out of the driveway.

"Never." She smirks.

"I'm so in love with you." I say quietly leaning over and resting my head on her shoulder.

"So do you want take out or do you want to sit in somewhere?" She asks.

"I kinda feel like sitting in?"

"Sounds good to me, I've been at home all day." She pulls into the parking lot of one of our favorite restaurants.

She holds my hand as we walk into the restaurant. The waiter seats us and we sit facing each other.

"What are you going to get?" I ask her as I scan through the menu.

"The same as always." She answers and puts down her menu. "Excuse me sir?" She gets the passing waiters attention. "Could I please get a kids menu and some crayons?" She asks and I begin to laugh.

"Yeah no problem!" He smiles and quickly retrieves what she asked for.

"Thanks dude," she grins as the guy hands her a four-pack of crayons.

"Are you going to solve the word puzzles or play tic tac toe with yourself?" I laugh at her as she unfolds the kids menu.

"I'm just going to color on the back." She flips it over to the plain white side.

"Lame,"

"Don't look until I say you can, okay?"

"Okay." I look at my menu until the waiter returns to take our orders. I order something new while Stevie orders the same old thing. The waiter takes the adult menus with him, and I'm still not supposed to look at Stevie, so I look through my phone. I feel her staring at me so I look up and she gets angry and tells me not to look once again. About five minutes later she allows me to look.

"Okay so this is you, and this is me," She begins to explain her terrible, childish, stick figure drawing. "and this is Ash. This is our house and this is the big happy rainbow that is always over our house." I just nod and smile, it's cute really, but more funny now she is a grown adult. "Sorry it's not very good, I only had four colors."

"I still love it, but did it really take you that long?"

"No, but this did." She flips the folded paper over revealing a much more detailed and realistic drawing. I recognize one of the girls in the drawing as myself and one as Stevie. I lean in closer to read what the caption says.

You bought me a ring,
so I bought one for you.
Let's live happily ever after together forever.

It read in her sloppy handwriting. "Creative people have worse handwriting," she always says. I bring my hands to my face.

"Is this like a second proposal?" I ask while smiling like an idiot. She nods her head and opens a ring box containing a gorgeous ring. She pulls the ring out almost dropping it and grabs my left hand. She holds it for a second waiting for me to tell her to go on. She slips the silver diamond ring onto my finger and it fits perfectly.
"Did you plan this?" I ask admiring the ring.

"No, I had the idea when we sat down though. I've been carrying this ring around waiting for the perfect moment. I wasn't going to plan the perfect moment, I was going to let it come up naturally, and it did. At least I think so." She shrugs her shoulders at the end.

"It was perfect." I smile.

"Good," she winks at me. The waiter brings our food out and almost sets Stevie's plate on the drawing. I quickly grab it, throwing the waiter off a bit.

"Everything okay?" He asks.

"Yeah, sorry." I smile softly.

"Sorry about her, she is a bit crazy. She thinks she is a kid, that's why I needed that children's menu." Stevie lies and I kick her in the shin from under the table, at least I thought it was her leg. The waiter jumps back and looks down. I quickly tuck my feet under my chair. Now he really will believe I'm crazy. I'm so fucking embarrassed right now.

"What the fuck was that Ellie?" Stevie asks while laughing as soon as the waiter is out of sight.

"I thought it was you," I say still feeling extremely embarrassed. "Hurry and eat so we can leave."

We finish our food and pay. We left an extra good tip to show my apologies for kicking him. I'm still so embarrassed, what do I do with myself?

"We are never coming back here." I say as we hurry out to the car.

"Why? I love this place." Stevie whines.

"You get the same damn thing every time anyway."

"And it's the best every damn time I eat it."

"Alright, we can eat here as long as it's takeout and you order it." I say once in the car.

"Deal." Stevie starts the car and we make our way back. What a night, I can't even process it all right now, I'm so tired.
