*Ellie's POV*

"Ellie! They're here with all your shit!" Stevie opens the door and yells inside. She has been outside playing with Ash.

She let's the men in and they start stacking boxes of my things in our empty family room.

"You've got a lot of things." Stevie states the obvious.

"I know that. You're going to help me unpack." I say.

"Who said?"

"I did."

"You aren't my mother."

"True. But I am your girlfriend and I don't have to give you anything." I smirk.

"Fine I'll help you."

"I knew you would." I wink at her and she rolls her eyes. "Where's the puppy?" I ask her.

"Oops!" She says and runs outside.

I wait for her to run in and say she lost her but she doesn't. I feel awkward just having these men bringing my things into my house.

"Found her." Stevie says walking inside with Ash in her arms.

She puts her down then chases her into the basement. Awkwardly alone again.

"That's all of it." The one guy comes up to me.

"Thank you." I smile.

"You are welcome." He says and winks at me.

"Yeah, well I better go downstairs to help my girlfriend." I say making it obvious I want them to leave.

Once they are out the door I go into the kitchen and look in the fridge. Nothing to eat. We attempted going grocery shopping, but you can't have dogs in the store so I sent in Stevie. You can guess she didn't get anything she was supposed to.

Either I'm going to have to go alone or we will have to leave the puppy home.

"Stevie!" I yell and then I hear her running up the stairs.

"What?" She asks catching her breath.

"I'm hungry." I say and make a pouty face.

"You wanna go grab something?" She asks.

"We need to go grocery shopping." I say. "Without the dog. We both need to go in and get food we can actually eat."

"Okay. Can we just leave her in the back yard?"

"Yes." I answer.

We get ready to go and the last thing we do is put Ash outside with things to entertain her.

We get in the car, Stevie is driving.

"Alone time." I say and hug her arm as she pulls out.

"A romantic date to the health food store." She says.

"Having Ash is like having a kid." I say.

"I agree." She giggles a little.

We get to the store and get out of the car. She grabs my hand before we walk in and a big smile is on my lips. We get everything we need and more.

"We have got a lot of unpacking to do." I say when we pull into the garage.

"Do we really have to do that?" Stevie asks.

I nod my head. She leans in close and kisses my softly and slowly.

"What was that for?" I ask her. That kiss was pretty spontaneous.
