Miguel sat across from Carmen and Johnny. His elbows on his knees as he waited for them to speak.
"Here's the thing." "We wanted..."
"You go." Johnny says
"No, you." Carmen says. Both of them hesitate.
Miguel raises his brows, "Someone should go."
"So your mom and I are hooking up." Johnny nods. Carmen narrows her eyes as she looks at him, "Not just hooking up. Uh, you see, when two people... When two people are... attracted to each other..."
"I get it, you guys are dating."
"Yeah, we're dating."
"Yes." Carmen sighs, "We didn't mean for you to find out like this."
"No. We were waiting for the right time and place. We wanted to take you to a nice restaurant, break the news somewhere nice. A Chili's or a Marie Callender's. A Red Lobster." Johnny rambles
"Miggy, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Uh, I think." Miguel nods, "Surprised. But also not super surprised since Jamie's had her suspicions." He smiles, "I would have chosen someone with, uh, better food in their refrigerator. But other than that, Sensei's a good guy. As long as you're happy, I'm happy."
"We are." Carmen smiles
"We're very happy." Johnny says
"Cool. Uh, can I get my water bottle now?" Miguel says as he points
"Yes."
"Okay." He nods before he gets up and walks out

"Listen up, nerds. Today's gonna be a world of pain." Johnny says as he walks in front of Eagle Fang. A girl walks up beside him, "Now everyone fall in. We have a new member joining us today. This is Devon Lee, our new female champion."
"Hi. My pronouns are she/her." She says
"The only pronouns we accept in this dojo are sensei and student."
"Those are nouns."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I think what I meant to say is 'Quiet!'"
Devon jumps, "That's an imperative."
"Get in line." He says. Devon hurries to fall in with everyone else. Before he can say anything else, the door opens again.
"Ms. Jackson." Johnny says. Miguel looks over and smiles as Jamie walks in, "Glad you could join us."
"Glad to be back." She nods with a sigh
"Alright," He says as he pats her shoulder, "fall in. Today's lesson is about cheating. At Eagle Fang Karate, we don't believe in fighting dirty. Cobra Kai doesn't follow the same rules. So we have to be ready for any dirty trick they throw at us."
