" Bondita mujhe nahi lagta woh bank wali file hamare kisi kaam ki hai " he said putting the file on the with frustration . The narrow, winding streets of Kolkata were alive with activity as Bondita and Anirudh continued their investigation into her missing uncle Abhay. They had uncovered fragments of a perplexing puzzle, but the pieces were far from fitting together. The quest had led them to the heart of the city's intelligence web, where alliances were shifting like sand in the wind.

" yeh bank account kisi Narayan sundaram ayer ke naam par hai  aur yeh tumhare kaka nahi ho sakte . maine salim ko unki ek photo bheji thi usne saaf inkaar kardiya yeh tumhare kaka nahi hai . yeh koi aur hi hai " he stated clearly not happy about the outcome .

" koi baat nahi patibabu dheere dheere sab pata chal jayega . kam se kam hamein un sunvai papers ki copy to mil gayi . "Bondita's determination never wavered. She had grown accustomed to the constant danger that shadowed their every step, but her resolve was unwavering. Anirudh, equally dedicated to uncovering the truth, had become her steadfast partner in this perilous journey.

Their latest lead had brought them to a dimly lit teahouse on the fringes of the city's bustling marketplace. The air was heavy with the aroma of brewing chai, and the soft chatter of patrons provided the perfect cover for their clandestine meeting. Anirudh  and Bondita sat in a corner booth, their heads close together as they discussed their findings.

suddenly the waiter brought two plates of puchkas which made her twinkle in wonder and a little bit of shock . she looked at Anirudh with open mouth and eyes widen . he chuckled heartily seeing her expression " jaanta hun london mein  sandwiches kha kha ke pak gayi ho iss liye yeh mangwaya " he said nudging her chin with his index finger .

" par yahan to britishers ate hain cafe ke andar isse allow bhi kaise kiya " she asked . to her answer he smirked and raised his collars .

" after all jaadugar babu hun tumhara itna to kar hi sakta hun " she let out a small laugh and shook her head . she took one puchka from her plate poured the tangy water in it and put it in her mouth . flavors burst on her tongue as she tasted the crispy shell filled with potato mixture and tangy water  in her mouth . Anirudh watched her contently as she ate . suddenly she let out a tiniest moan which was only hearable to Anirudh . he straightened himself as he felt blood rushing through everywhere . he adjusted in his seat and closed his eyes .

" aap thik to hai na " Bondita's voice brought him back to the reality .

"h-han thik hun " he says flushed,

Bondita gave him a warm smile and pushed the other plate towards him . he took his plate and effortlessly devoured  one despite knowing it was spicy . she watched him in wonder .

" mujhe to abhi bhi yakeen nahi ho raha ki aap teekhe puchke kha rahe hai " she said in daze , he chuckled with full mouth .

" jab tum meri yaad mein kadvi black coffee pee sakti ho to main tumhare yaad mein teekhe puchke nahi kha sakta " he said wiping his mouth with the back of his hand .

" woh toh hai " she muttered

" chalen ek baar bansal sahab ke office ka chakkar laga lenge  phir ghar chalenge raat hone wali hai " she nodded once they finished both of their plates . they went out of the cafe . Anirudh grabbed Bondita's hand and intertwined  their fingers as he noticed a crowd lining on the street . she felt his protectiveness through their joined hands . they started to walk on the busy street . Anirudh tried to keep her closer . in the brink of time the crowd on the street increased leading them to pushing into or apart from each other . people still coming towards them , pushing into them . Anirudh tried to maintain the contact with her which seemed impossible . Bondita suddenly felt a shadow pass beside her . she tried to look around but it was impossible to even turn when they are surrounded  by people . Anirudh really regretted now for not bringing the car . Bondita said it was on walking distance from their home so he agreed . Out of the blue she felt a touch in her left palm she looked at her side and her gaze locked into familiar yet strange eyes and it vanished as soon as it began . she felt the weight of something in her hand .
