" pita aur bhai dono puja karte hain beta... Woh bhi apni patniyon ke saath. Hamare yahan aise hi nimantran diya jaata hai bhagwaan ko. Aur agar koi kul mandir na ho to aas paas jo mandir hai wahan jaake kalash sthapith karna padta hai . Aur dulhan ki bhabi hi kalash sthapith karti hai. " Anand explained the ritual from their side to Anirudh.

" fir to Bondita ko karna padega " he asked , Anand nodded to confirm.

" bahu nahi kar sakti " Trilochan suddenly declared, Anand was slightly taken aback by his tone.

" kyun " Anirudh asked intimidated by his kaka.

" kyunki bahu to apne bhai ki taraf se hi kalash sthapith karegi na to fir ladki walon ki taraf se kaise kar sakti hai. " Trilochan explained the reason. Anirudh's face instantly went dull. " tumhaare vivah mein hua hota to tumhe pata chalta, ki yeh rivaaj hamare yahan bhi hai. Par.. Tumhari shaadi to itni jald baaji mein hui ki kuch karne ka mauka hi nhi mila " he sighed.

Anand could literally see the dullness in his features. " koi baat nahi beta.. damad ji Mera matlab hai pandit aur preeti mil kar puja kar denge aur preeti kalash sambhal legi.. Koi baat nahi. Pandit bhi to bhai jaisa hai. " he said patting his shoulder.

Anirudh just mustered up a little smile to hide his disappointment. Anirudh really wanted to perform all the duties for Naina as a brother. He never had a sister before... not a big sister like her. All of his life he played the role of a big brother, protecting his boys but he never felt the love of a sister before. A big sister who gives advice whenever you stumble on wrong path. Who gently scolds like mother and cares like one too. In such a short time she has became that person for him. But he couldn't do everything as a brother for her.

Bondita has been listening to their conversation and she could clearly feel his disappointment from afar. It's true that they both want to do something for them. Naina too sacrificed a lot for her. Even she has taken bullets for her. She has taken her brother's side and he has taken Naina's side to perform all the duties as a family.

" Bondita " Swati called her from behind.

" ji Swati didi " she turned.

" tumhari sampoorna didi ayi hai... Unse mil lo jaake "

" ji didi aap jao main aati hu "

An idea suddenly struck to her mind and she smiled looking towards the Ganesh idol which was just carried by her husband and situated on the mandir made for him.

Anirudh looked longingly at the older couple performing the ritual for Naina. She stood right behind them in a simple green kurti, Her hands joined in front of the idol praying for the bright future ahead them.

He sighed. Not everyone get all the things they want in life. So what he didn't get to perform the ritual for her. He vowed to protect her as her brother. He vowed to have her back in every situation and he will do it.

Naina opened her eyes and met with Anirudh's troubled one. She raised her eyebrows to question him if something happened. He shook his head and smiled. He was about to leave from there. Because he couldn't see anyone else doing his part. No matter how much he convince himself... The small thing will give him pain.

" aap kahan jaa rahe hain? " His eyes went wide seeing her smile at him. Bondita was standing there with the aarti thal to perform the ritual.

" par-" he was confused.

" jaldi aaiye na mujhe kalash lekar mandir bhi Jana hai " she said with a smile. Anirudh couldn't believe what was happening. Then he smiled , overwhelmed at his wife's act. He realized she fulfilled his this wish too just like the other ones.
