Linked Dreams (A school au)

Chapter 15

I looked outside the cave entrance and saw the sun was rising.
I stayed up all night. I feel so tired.

I got up and thought for a moment. Right! I completely forgot I've had my phone in my bag this entire time! But. . .my bag had fallen into the water.

I kneeled down next to my bag and opened the side pocket to take my phone out.

Oh yeah. It's waterproof.

I had several missed calls from my father and 2 from Murosha.

I'll call Kaida first.
I left to sit outside near the stream to talk.

"Heyy Zotan. How's your first day of summer break going?" -Kaida

"Terrible. I'm lost in the forest outside the school."
"Oh wow. Why'd—"
Kaida was cut off, and it sounded as if he had tripped over something and fell.

". .Are you alright Kaida? It sounds like you fell."
"Oh, yeah, I just tripped over a branch."

"A branch?—"
"I mean my staircase. Because..I'm at my home like purr usual.^^ Anyways, what I was saying was, why'd you call me though?"

"Uhm, I want to hear more of your story..."

"Really? You must really like it then! Yesterday I added a lot more to it. I thought of this new creature to add to it too."

"That's great, but do you think you could just summarize all of what you added?"

"Sure, Zotan. After all, I wouldn't want you to not know what happens.."
"Huh?"
"I shall begin reading it to you now!"

"So, the two remaining kids found themselves lost in the rooms with water and they stumble across this ugly creepy lookin' creature. One of the students get terribly scared and screams which alerts the creature! Haha I wouldn't have screamed, would you Zotan?"

"No, but continue please."

"Okayy, after that student screams, the creature attacks the student and he dies. The other one makes a narrow escape by hiding in the water, soon realizing that the monster is blind."

"Mhm."

"The student is all alone, and quite scared too with that monster always growling. Roarr!"

🙂. . .he's so silly.

"Anywho! The student finds a small door that he could just barely squeeze through and finds himself back in the school corridors."

"Where'd he find the small door?"

"He found it after following the line of lightbulbs that were out on the ceiling, but what slowed him down a bit was that every 5 minutes ALL the lights would go out for a few seconds."

"That's intensifying. So now he's back in the school?"

"Yup."

"What does the student do now??"

"The student—" Kaida was cut off as my phone was suddenly snatched from out of my hand.
