Sammy's POV:

We got my trunks in the car and then the boys started fighting for the front seat.

"But you rode in the front on the way here!"

"Yeah cause we were driving to pick up my sister!"

"What about me? Can I ride up front Lenny and Aaron always go up front!"

"Shut up, Hue! It's not just me and Aaron that go up front Luc goes sometimes."

While they argued I saw Luc gesturing for me to come over to him. He opened up the car door for me and I quickly got in. He gave me nod and got into the back of the car. Grandmother got in the driver's seat and honked the horn.

The boys looked over and saw me in the front seat. They trudged over, got into the car, and collectively sighed.

"Why didn't we think of letting her sit in front?" Aaron wondered aloud.

"Because none of you are gentlemen like Luc." Grandmother said with a smile at Luc.

I fell asleep on the way to the house and woke up Lennox shaking me violently.

"WE'RE HERE! WAKE UP ALREADY!" He shouted in my ear.

Out of good reflexes I punched in face on accident.

"My nose! My nose! You hurt my nose!" He grabbed his now bleeding nose.

Grandmother put her head in her hands and the boys laughed.

"Why would you scream in my face to wake me up? It's your fault that you got hurt." I shrugged.

"Man, Americans can punch!" Huey laughed out.

"Well, how else can I defend myself from creeps?" I walked over to the trunk of car and grabbed my vinyl filled suitcase.

Aaron nodded, "Good point."

"Let me show your room, Dear!" She hooked her arm through mine and guided me to the house.

The house was two story farmhouse and painted white. It had a gravel path leading the porch that had a swing. I looked around and notice we were in the middle of nowhere. There were only rolling green hills for miles in all directions.

"How long was I asleep for us to get out of the city?" I chuckled.

"You fell asleep about five minutes in the drive, Dear. We were driving for maybe two more hours." Grandmother patted my hand and opened the front door.

"I slept for two hours?" It felt like five minutes.

"Yeah." Aaron said while struggling to get my trunk full of books up the steps. "Did not sleep on the way here?"

"No, I don't like boats."

"You had six days to sleep and you didn't sleep once?" Huey asked with a puzzled face.

I looked over to Lennox, "Nope." He smiled sadly at me.

"Well, Dear, let's show you your room." We walked up the stairs with everyone following behind me.

Along the left side of the hall there were three labeled doors. The first one was Lenny's then in the middle was Aaron's room and the last door was Huey's room. On the left side of the hall the first room was Luc's in the middle a bathroom and on the last bed room had my name written in curly letters.

I pushed open my door and felt like crying again. It was painted my favorite shade of yellow, which I had mentioned briefly on a phone call with Grandmother Vivian. The walls were decorated with empty shelves and a desk for all my stuff. The closet had a slide mirror door and inside were shoes, clothes, and dresses all in my size. My school uniform was laid out on my bed, which was my favorite shade of blue. The carpet was fuzzy and the room smelled like lavender.

I laid like a starfish on the floor and inhale through my nose then exhaled through my mouth. This felt like home.
