Luc's POV:
I was sitting on my bed and the door to our dorm slammed open. Sammy ran in with a big smile and a football under her arm.
She scrambled up onto our bed then pounced on my lap. "Come play with us in the rain!"
I sighed, "But no one's in the room so it's silent. It's a perfect time for reading."
She laid across my lap, "Please play with us! We even got Dora to come play! You know how much she hates go outside!"
I sighed and looked down at her. "Fine."
"Yayyyy!" She ran out.
I walked to the courtyard already soaked to the bone. All the girls and boys were standing there and cheered when I came into view.
"Come on!" Lenny shouted.
He set up the two laundry baskets on either said of the courtyard.
"Time to pick teams!" Lenny shouted.
"Who are the team captains?" Dora asked while kicking a rock.
"Me and Sammy." Lenny said with an arm around Sammy's shoulder.
"Why?"
"Because nothing makes a game more interesting than sibling rivalry." Lenny said matter-of-a-factly. "Since Sammy is a girl she can choose first."
She looked around and contemplated. "Ophelia."
Then Lenny, "Luc!"
"Huey."
"Lav."
"Lari!"
"Aaron!"
That left Dora.
She just shrugged once she realized that she couldn't be picked for a team. "I'll just kept score of how bad Lenny's team is going to loose."
With that answer, the teams went to their sides of the courtyard. Sammy with Ophelia, Huey, and Lari and Lenny with Me, Lav, and Aaron. Aaron and Ophelia positioned as goalies and Dora dropped the ball.
For the first half of the game Lenny's team was winning. Lav turned out to be really good at football, but so did all the other girls.
On the second half Sammy's team caught up and beat us. Sammy's talent was definitely underestimated by Lenny. Her and Huey were making goal after goal.
Once the time was up we sat down as Dora told us how brutally Sammy beat us. "I mean, I've seen people do stuff like that but I expected better. Wow." She mocked a disappointed look and shook her head.
We all laughed and the Sammy started sneezing.
I groaned, "You caught a cold!"
"You can actually get those from being in the rain?!" She laughed in disbelief, "I always thought it was one of those things parents lie to you about so they don't have to do something they don't want to."
Aaron looked at her like she was dumb, "Have you never caught a cold before?"
She thought for a moment, "Not because of the rain. One time because I said outside too long in the winter." She sneezed again.
"But you've always loved the rain," Lenny said. "how have you never caught anything till just now."
She just shrugged. I shook my head and started to guide her back to our dorm.
"Where we going?"
"Dorm, to dry you off and get you warm." I paused realizing something. "Are you supposed to get your cast wet?"
She just shrugged and smiled. This girl is going to be the death of me one day.
We went into the room and I opened my trunk.
"What are you doing?"
"Getting you dry clothes."
She nodded and just sneezed again.
Once I got her a sweater and pajama pants, I stood up and handed them to her. She took them then just looked at me.
"What?"
"I need your help."
"With what?"
"Changing into this." She lifted the clothes.
"Why? Don't you usually dress yourself?"
She is always gone in the morning, already getting ready with the other girls. She showers and keeps her clothes over there.
She shook her head, "I've been having Ophelia or Dora help me out with changing."
I nodded, "So what do you want me to do?" I blushed.
She laughed, "Just help with my shirt first."
She lifted her good arm and I picked the shirt up over it. Then I carefully took it the rest. While trying not to think about how Sammy is shirtless in front of me, I put on the new warm shirt.
"Okay, now let's get the pants on so I can get under the blanket!"
She helped me take off her pants. Wow, that's a lot of leg. Trying to control myself I leaned against her. Only problem I kneeling in front of her so my head was against her stomach.
She patted my head. She patted my head. I groaned, why is she so cute?
I put on her pants before I did anything that I would regret. I need to make her fall for me quicker.
