The former military man has been working as a teacher for the past twelve years. He's been in the army far long and after his leave he work as a substitute teacher. In Middleton High he had watch many interesting people enter the school like Kim Possible, that girl who likes fashion name Monique and Bonnie Rockwaller but the most interesting is Ron Stoppable.

That boy was an enigma he couldn't read. He thought Kim Possible would be the most different person to read as she spent most of her time saving the world and putting herself in danger. Yet she's an open book. Her partner on the other hand reeks with mystery.

He didn't know when it started. He didn't know why he was suspicious of the boy. The boy didn't do anything out of the ordinary yet he couldn't help but notice him. The boy barely passes his exam getting a C- in his grades however, there were a few occasions where he had gotten an F and that only happens when the boy is far too tired from missions or he was depress.

Mr. Barkin knew Ron suffers from depression. He may be able to fool a lot of people with that goofy expression but not him. He knew the boy's parents had something to do with it and with the death of his uncle his condition only worsen. He and the principal had heard from the counselor and she explained what he told her; they just couldn't believe it. The Stoppables sunk really low using their son as some sort of piggy bank. He was also sorrowful to learn that the boy had to learn the truth this way, it must've broken him.

They had agreed to contact social services but they also hear the boy was going to court with Mrs. Possible as his backup. At least now he will be look after.

However, they had their concerns especially with the boy being emancipated at such a young age. Still Mr. Barkin was sure the boy can handle being a young adult as he knew the kid was intelligent even more so than Kim Possible. Mr. Barkin had a few talks with David Stoppable when he was still alive and he admit that Ron was a smart kid despite his age as he could learn a variety of words when he was only a toddler. Yes, his grades were all over the place but before that he was an outstanding student. He was especially gifted in Language Arts, History, Math and Culinary Arts. He had questioned the other teachers at the school and they swore up and down that Ron would've been their best student if he had only applied himself more.

Mrs. Gracious, the school's Spanish teacher, also said that he was conversant in the language and in several occasions, she spotted him learning other languages as well such as French, Hindi, German and most recently Japanese.

Most of the teachers often thought that his participation with Team Possible is the reason for his erratic work. While Kim was only happy for the chance of make-up testes and extra-credit, Stoppable was undeciding. He did enough to say above the line.

However, this time it's different as the boy spends most of his time pulling up his grades and Barkin as well as the staff and principal couldn't be happier. The boy may think that he has it out for him but the truth is all he wants is for the boy to grow a backbone. Now he sees his task done as the boy is now going to court.

The ex-military man clears his throat and address his student. They were in their classroom and Mr. Barkin was in front of the board with a math equation. All the students were present for the classes except for Ron and the ex-military man thought the boy must be sick. He holds on to a stack of papers and clears his throat again, "Alright everyone I have your test scores for this semester. I will call each one out and you will come and collect your paper."

"Bonnie Rockwaller D."

"Tara Strong B."

"Felix Renton A+," he spoke with a please voice.

"Monique Symone B."

"Kim Possible... B-," Mr. Barkin, spoke disapprovingly. Kim made herself small in her seat before she gets up and collect her paper.

"Hope Rosevale C."

"Silvia Russel D-."

"Josh Mankey B-."

"Ron Stoppable..." he paused for extra effect before smirking, "...A+."

"A+," Kim murmurs surprise. She looks at Ron's empty seat.
