"You're both mental."
"Ridiculous!" said Hermione faintly.
"Peter Pettigrew's dead!" said Harry. "He killed him twelve years ago!"
He pointed at Black, whose face twitched convulsively.
"I meant to," he growled, his yellow teeth bared, "but little Peter got the better of me ... not this time, though!"
Black lunged at Scabbers; Ron yelled with pain as Black's weight fell on his broken leg.
"Sirius, NO!" Lupin yelled, launching himself forwards and dragging Black away from Ron again, "WAIT! You can't do it just like that - they need to understand - we've got to explain -"
"We can explain afterwards!" snarled Black, trying to throw Lupin off, one hand still clawing the air as it tried to reach Scabbers, who was squealing like a piglet, scratching Ron's face and neck as he tried to escape.
"They've - got - a - right - to - know - everything!" Lupin panted, still trying to restrain Black. "Ron's kept him as a pet! There are parts of it even I don't understand! And Harry - you owe Harry the truth, Sirius!"
"Will you please listen for Merlin's sake!??" Y/N screamed in anger. She just couldn't take how absurdly these supposed 'smart people' were acting.
Black stopped struggling, though his hollowed eyes were still fixed on Scabbers, who was clamped tightly under Ron's bitten, scratched and bleeding hands.
"All right, then," Black said, without taking his eyes off the rat. "Tell them whatever you like. But make it quick, Y/N. I want to commit the murder I was imprisoned for-""Shut up, Sirius."
"-oookay."
Y/N looked around the room.. Hermione was trying to process everything, Ron was holding on to Scabbers for dear life, Remus and Sirius were looking intently at the rat, and Harry was oozing with anger and confusion.
She looked at Harry pleadingly and said, "Harry, Remus and Sirius are not here to hurt you... and Sirius, please let Remus finish the whole story before attacking that stupid rat."
"But he killed my-" Harry tried to say.
"No, Harry! Sirius did not kill your parents, neither did he betray them."
"Y/N, what you are saying makes no sense." Hermione said.
"It will, after you listen to what actually happened." Y/N added.
Harry seemed to be lost in thought before saying, "Okay, I'm listening... I want to know what actually happened."
And so, Remus told Harry all about how he met three friends in his first year of Hogwarts - James, Sirius and Peter; How all of them found out about Remus's transformations and became animagus themselves to help him through every month; the Shrieking Shack was never actually haunted, it was Remus's cries and wails that the villagers heard and thought it was haunted; and how the four friends wrote the Marauders Map...
Through the whole explanation, Harry seemed to be extremely restless. His brain was aching with all this new information. He couldn't believe that his father was so close with his friends that he would risk his own life just to help Remus through his werewolf transformations. Harry also had a hard time believing that Sirius was a 'loyal friend'. The idea was absurd to him because if Sirius was such a good friend then why would he betray them. But Harry kept put and let Remus finish, just because Y/N asked him to. If she was asking him to listen, Harry made sure to listen.
