A few days came and went, seemingly in the blink of an eye. You were still having a hard time processing exactly what had conspired between Link and you, and it did NOT get any easier when Jay came.

You and Jay met up and dated. You both sat in silence for a bit, never really making eye contact but knowing that you both kept looking up at each other.

"So...you and Link, huh? And you still feel scared?"

"I'm not saying me and Link should get back together, because believe me ...I'm still having this trauma going on and my panic attacks haven't been doing well. "

He scoffed and leaned back in his chair, now fully staring at you. "So you're happy that he was there?"

"I had it under control. I could've fought them without his help. But I guess it's probably a good thing he started to treat me like a normal person, yes?" You stare right back at your boyfriend in front  with the same intensity that he had in his own eyes.

The silence between you was beginning to become deafening, and as if on cue, a scream was heard from the village entrance.

You and Jake both ran together basically sprinting to the noise, the only thought running through my head was the fear of another Yiga attack. Without Link here, you're in a much more dangerous position.

When you finally reached the village entrance, Someone was hovering over a traveller, who was very wounded. You watched as Blake approached them, and pulled out a red elixir for them to drink. You waited a few moments for them to catch their breath and gain back a little strength before asking what happened.

"There so many Yiga surrounding the village. They attacked me and stole my bag. All of my goods, my rupees, gone."

"Wait, you said they're surrounding the village?"

You gasp that catch in your throat. There's no way. They won't survive another attack, not without-

"(Y/n), what's wrong" Jay snapped you out of your thoughts before you could conclude, reaching for your hand.

"They attacked a few days ago, no one was hurt but we don't have the same protection we did then." you explained, trailing off a bit towards the end when Blake gave you an irritated look.

"Right, well then, we'll just need to make sure that everyone stays in their houses and isn't going out until they leave. We should tell everyone to get the goods they need as soon as possible, and to stay inside unless absolutely necessary. At this point, with them surrounding the village, it's just damage control."

"Alright." you nodded .

Your mind began running a mile a minute, everything began piling up and I felt like I was drowning. I could barely afford the groceries I needed for basic survival, forget about stocking up in case of an attack.

"Then we should evacuate the town. The quicker we can get everyone into safety, the better." You stood up and Blake nodded and  split ways, with him taking the west end of the village, and yourself taking the east. Which, of course, included the Bolson houses that stood in front of the bridge to Link's old home.

You did you best to ignore it, and just remind yourself to keep focused on the task at hand, no matter how difficult it was.

And so, the wait has begun. Honestly, you were mostly afraid of them starving out. They couldn't possibly know how much we had in our store, but they most likely knew about our fairly large population and that we definitely didn't have an infinite food source.

Hours turned into days, days into a week, and then nearly 2 when you finally got word that the Yiga were finally gone, and it was safe to go about our normal lives.
