When you hurry to the palace you slam the door open to see the view of Link. He was pretty banged up. All bloody and bruised. The demons have done a number on him and you refused to cry over this. It must be an assault by the Yiga Clan.

"He's barely alive, all those assassin just knew they were going to ambush him." Ray fills you in the details.

"And you?" You ask Ray about his injuries.

"I was attack too....they stab my leg and cut my face." Ray grunts while carefully sitting down. "What could they possibly want anyways?"

"They want my Sword Of Infinity." You concluded.

"The one that was confiscated down the halls of secrets and to the room of requirement?" Ray guessed.

You blink owlishly. "Yeah, that....how did you know?"

Ray shrugged. "I've been memorializing the castle....and  sometimes I had curious hunches  when I really want to see if the Infinity was really real like Link's Master Sword."

You hummed and took a step close to Link's bed. "If we hurry down the corridor I might have to take it back. But first I need you to ask one of your friend to get me the urbs to tend the hero's wounds."

"Yes ma'am!" Ray wobbles and ring the bell since he can't go anywhere right now he talks to one of his buddies and they travel to your village to buy some herbs.

Day and night you just watch him sleep. The medic has arrived to perform your healing tonic. You mix all the herbs to cock up the juice. You make sure you force it in his throat and lay him back and just shut the door on the way when there's new that he'll eventually wakes up.

You were on the balcony sitting on the edge looking out the sky.

Link had been asleep for several days now and it felt like the whole thing was your fault.

Your friends tried to reassure you, but you felt horrible for not rescuing him on time.

A knock emanated from the door of your room, but you did not bother to call out or open it.

"(Y/n)? Are you awake?" You could tell right away it was  Ray at the door. "It's Link. He's finally awake. He wants to see you.""

All the air drained from your lungs in a mixture of relief and anxiety. Every part of you wanted to rush to his side, but after what happened that night you still felt too embarrassed to see him after you broke up with Jay.

You swallowed the lump in your throat and nodded. Ray moved aside and you walked very slowly and hesitantly towards Link's room. You reached your hand out to open the door, but could barely bring yourself to do it.

When you entered you couldn't bare to look at him. You stood in the entrance of the room awkwardly, barely even glancing at the figure laying in the bed.

You cleared your  throat before speaking, "You finally awake. How... are you feeling?"

Link rub his chest from the new bandage. "Kinda stiff, but I've been through worse." You simply nodded and the room fell awkwardly silent. "I'd feel a lot better if you come closer."

This made your heart drop sadly. You closed the door behind you and leaned against it before anyone can hear your conversation. "You shouldn't say such things. We aren't friends or lovers. I'm just doing my job. It's... not appropriate for a demon like me to get close to you."
