calum,
I know I said I'd stop texting you, but I can't.
Today I went to your old apartment. Ashton invited me over and said I could go through your things. I knew you wouldn't mind, because we used to share everything.
I found some books I recommended you to read. You also had copies of my favourite bands' albums. You kept lots of stuff. You also had an old sweater of mine. You said you liked my scent; that I smelt of vanilla and candy. I laughed when you told me this.
You also had a picture of us at the carnival we went to two years ago in a frame I made you for Christmas on your bedside table.
Do you know what I found? I found a memory box under your bed. A memory box of us. There was so much stuff.
You had the tickets to our first concert together, the receipt of our coffee orders from our first date when we were fifteen, pictures of the time we went to New Zealand, the love letter I wrote to you, a copy of our bucket list we made together two years ago (you had 'travel the world together' underlined in red - that was my favourite one too), the tickets to the festival we went to in Sydney last year and lots of pictures from years ago up until two months ago.
I took it all. Ashton said you wanted to clear everything out so either I took it or it would've been thrown out.
I keep it in my wardrobe now.
If you cared enough to have all these memories and collect them for years, then why did you leave me? Why did you hurt me the way you did?
I can't hate you because I love you so much Calum.
I miss you xx
Alice
