Third PERSON POV

Adarsh followed closely behind Yashi as they both searched for Aashvi. Their hearts grew heavier with every passing second until they finally found her in her room, curled up on the bed, clutching her teddy bear tightly. Tears streamed down her small face, her sobs echoing in the quiet room.

Yashi immediately stepped forward, reaching out to hold her, but Aashvi flinched and backed away, shattering Yashi's heart into a million pieces.

"Aap jao yaha se... mujhe kisi se baat nahi karni," Aashvi cried, shaking her head. "Aap sab bahot bure ho... Mumma, you always say na that I am your good girl? I never ask for anything. Then today, I am asking you for something... Please, I want a brother. Please, Mumma! Everyone has a family except me. I never complained, but today, I want a brother, please!" she pleaded, sobbing uncontrollably.

Adarsh's heart clenched at her words. Without hesitation, he stepped forward and pulled her into a tight embrace, letting her cry in his arms. "Shh, shh... You want a brother?" he whispered, rubbing her back gently. "You will get one. Raksha Bandhan is still two days away, and I promise you, baccha, you will have a brother. But please, stop crying," he said, placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

Aashvi continued to sob in his chest, but after a few moments, her breathing steadied, and she looked up at him with hopeful eyes. "P-Pakka na?" she asked, her voice small and uncertain.

Adarsh nodded without hesitation, his gaze unwavering as he kissed her forehead again. "Pakka. I love you, mera baccha. Never cry like this again... It hurts to see you like this," he murmured, pulling her back into a firm hug.

Yashi stood nearby, watching the father-daughter duo with teary eyes, a small yet heartwarming smile adorning her face.

Aashvi tightened her hold around Adarsh, burying her face in his chest. "I love you too, Papa," she whispered.

Both Adarsh and Yashi froze, their eyes widening in shock. Yashi's tears spilled freely, and Adarsh felt his emotions overwhelming him, a lone tear escaping his eye.

"W-What did you call me, Aashvi?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Aashvi pulled back slightly, looking at him with innocent eyes. "Papa," she repeated softly. "Someone told me that a papa is not just the person who brings a baby into the world with mumma... A papa is the one who loves his child, protects them from everything bad, and keeps them safe and happy. I know I am not your real baby, but you love me, protect me, and take care of me. That's why you are my papa. I love you, Papa," she said, a small smile forming on her tear-streaked face.

Adarsh closed his eyes for a moment, allowing his emotions to flow freely as more tears slipped down his face. "You are my baby, Aashvi," he said, holding her tightly. "You will always be my baby. I love you too." He kissed her cheek tenderly.

Aashvi frowned as she saw his tears and pouted. "Why are you crying? Did you not like that I called you Papa?" she asked, her tiny fingers reaching up to wipe his tears.

Adarsh let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head. "No, my baby monkey... I am just too happy," he said, kissing her nose playfully, making her giggle.

Aashvi then turned to her mother, who stood there with a radiant smile despite the tears flowing down her cheeks. She hesitated for a moment before stepping closer. "Sorry, Mumma... I spoke badly to you, na? I promise I won't do it again," she said, trying to hold back fresh tears.

Yashi immediately pulled her into a warm hug, cradling her gently. "It's okay, Mumma ki jaan. Mumma loves you a lot," she assured her with a soft smile.

"I love you too, Mumma!" Aashvi beamed before suddenly pulling away. "Accha, now I am going out to Vaishnavi Masi!" she announced before dashing out of the room.

Adarsh let out a deep sigh and turned to Yashi, pulling her into a tight hug. This was, without a doubt, the best day of his life. Yashi smiled, leaning into him before placing a soft kiss on his cheek. They stayed in each other's embrace for a few moments before Yashi pulled back.

"Ab batao, uska bhai kaha se laane wale ho?" she asked with a teasing smile.

Adarsh sighed, rubbing his temple. "I still have two days. I'll figure something out, don't worry. I won't let her heart break," he promised.

Yashi chuckled, nodding at his determination before turning to leave. But before she could take a step, Adarsh suddenly pulled her back toward him.

"Where do you think you're going?" he asked, smirking.

"Outside, idiot," she replied, rolling her eyes.

"Not before you come to the kitchen," he stated firmly.

Yashi narrowed her eyes at him. "And can I know why?"

"Because you need to have a glass of milk," he said, his smirk widening.

Yashi's eyes widened in horror. If there was one thing she absolutely hated, it was milk. "No way! I'm not drinking it!" she declared, shaking her head vigorously.

Adarsh crossed his arms. "You are. And no drama about it," he said in a warning tone.

"No, no, I won't!" she protested before quickly turning on her heels and making a run for it. But, of course, her escape was futile. Within seconds, Adarsh caught her, his strong arms caging her in.

Without warning, he spanked her.

"Ouch! What the hell?!" Yashi yelped, glaring at him.

Adarsh spanked her again-harder this time. "Think before you speak," he said, his tone firm. Another spank followed. "And you will drink milk without-" spank "-throwing a tantrum." spank "Am I clear?" spank.

Yashi whimpered, small sobs escaping her lips as she nodded quickly.

"Good girl," Adarsh praised, lifting her up and carrying her to the kitchen. He set her down and handed her a glass of milk, his expression leaving no room for arguments.

Yashi, however, simply stared at the glass, refusing to touch it. Adarsh's patience thinned as he glared at her. "Right now, Yashi," he said in a slow, dark voice.

"Please na..." she whined, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears as she attempted her best puppy-eyed look.

Adarsh scoffed. "Not gonna work. Drink it. Now."

"No, I won't," she huffed, shaking her head stubbornly.

Adarsh's gaze darkened, his voice dropping dangerously low. "This is the last time I'm saying it... DRINK."

Yashi gulped, immediately picking up the glass and chugging the milk in one go. As soon as she finished, she scrunched up her face in pure disgust, making Adarsh chuckle.

He reached out and wiped her lips with his thumb. "See? That wasn't so difficult, was it?" he teased.

Yashi shot him a glare. "Shut up," she grumbled, wiping her tears before stomping out of the kitchen.

Adarsh chuckled again, shaking his head as he watched her leave. But soon, his mind drifted back to his new mission-finding a way to get Aashvi a brother before Raksha Bandhan.
