Chapter 10-

Ana followed the gesturing feet. The mirror she had in her hands was heavy; too heavy for her. She stopped to rest, but only to have to run faster to catch back up, as the water didn't even stop for her to rest, as much as she wished it did. Once she had gotten only a few feet away, it stopped right in its tracks, making Ana crash into it.

Ana scowled at the water, because it had made her get wet. And the even more hilarious thing was that it formed into the letters 'Haha!'. Ana just continued to scowl at it.

Ana turned her back on it. She felt a small squirt of water on her back, and turned, infuriated. The water had just turned a corner, and she just barely saw it turn the corner. She held the small, heavy, mirror to her chest

"I will get youuuuuuu!"

Ryan's eyes were clouded with guilt. He knew he should've told Ana and Amber about the dreams he had been having for months before now. He had just thought they were nightmares.

But now they were happening.

"Ryan... How do you know?" Amber said, creasing her eyebrows.

Ryan started to cry.

"I... thought... they... were... just... dreams..." Sobs of guilt racked his small body. "And n-now I know they're real. And you are g-gonna be m-mad at me f-for not telling you."

"Oh, Ryan." Amber sighed. "Have you kept this inside, the whole time?"

He nodded with sorrow.

"Ryan.." Amber hugged Ryan, pulling him in, and she hugged him even tighter than before. "You should always talk to me about this stuff, you know?"

Ryan just hugged her tighter.

"But you wouldn't have believed me." He whispered under his breath, and not even Amber could hear him.

"Let's just go down and eat, we'll talk after that, okay?"

He nodded, and it was obvious that they wouldn't talk about this for quite a while.

Although Ana had been seemingly running for hours on end, she wasn't even the least out of breath. In fact, she felt more refreshed than she had before she had even started running.

She didn't get why she felt so much better.

Ana finally found the water, and it was holding itself in a form that Ana had seen a million times before.

Ana saw it in the form of a cat.

The cat wasn't your normal cat, but it was more of a leopard, the ones you might see in the grasses of the savannah. It seemed to be more of a panther than a leopard, on second thought, although a bit smaller, and it was one straight color.

Ana ran over and looked down at the water-made kitty. She decided to name him Ren. It just seemed like a fitting name for a male cat, the one that would be helping her along the way.

Amber, after waiting for the day to be over and Ryan to be asleep, almost ran down the stairs to find Anan. She partially wanted to avoid Alex for this conversation. She didn't want her case of her churning stomach and nerves to get any worse.
