Chapter 17

After his and Meghna's discussion, Amar had called Rubai and Kabir and explained them the situation. They readily agreed to help him and Meghna. Rubai already had inkling that Lutra was hiding something so it was easier. It was decided that she would loop in Rishi, no one else could be trusted.

Plan was: Meghna and Amar would head first and assess the situation at the warehouse. They will first secure the "consignment", and later confront LUCIFER and the Mole if it comes to worst. Kabir would be there in the shadows ready to step in whenever needed. Rubai will lead her team there last, under the pretense of tracking them as per Colonel's orders. Throughout the operation, they'll be connected via comms.

<at the abandoned Wearhouse.>

When Amar and Meghna reached the warehouse, it was bustling with armed men. There were at least 15 of them. They looked at eachother and noded. It was wise for both of them, to not engage and make way towards the hidden "consignment" without being spotted by anyone.

They were walking stealthily when they came across a room, it had a huge lock on it but they could hear some muffled cries from inside. Amar broke the lock with multiple blows of his guns grip. When Meghna pushed the door open they found the room filled with women and girls of varying ages.

So that was the consignment, human trafficking. Meghna understood that LUCIFER's plan was to ship these ladies out of the country and to the highest bidding client.

The ladies were scared to see two armed people at the door. They were cowering behind each other. Amar lowered his gun and assured them, that he and Meghna were there to release them. Hearing that, one of the little girls told Amar that there was another such room down the corridor and her sister was locked up there.

They free all the ladies from this room and take them along as they head towards the other room. Just as they had freed the remaining victims, some of LUCIFER's soldiers caught up to them, as if they already knew where to find them.

It was two v/s six now. Meghna and Amar had managed to get rid of 2 of them but more 2 materialized out of thin air. Just as one of the men had a gun aimed to shoot at the back of Meghna's head, Kabir stepped in, effectively knocking him out with a swift armlock around the man's head. The man misses the aim and the gun fires in air. This alerts both Meghna and Amar.

Amar who was closest to Kabir nods at him curtly as a thanks. Kabir winks at him and replies with,

"Bhabhi hai meri."

Kabir joins the fight and soon they manage to take out all the men. Before knocking the last one unconscious, they force him to talk.

"Tell us where LUCIFER is!"

"The whole place is rigged with detonators as a fail-safe. If anything goes wrong, LUCIFER will blow the whole place up. He's watching your every move you know. Nothing will harm him in the bunker, but you won't escape."

The man replies with a sardonic laugh, before Kabir hits him in the back of his head.

Realising it's a trap, the trio decides to hurry up. The three of them take the victims and head towards the entrance. They are met with Rubai and Rishi halfway, who had arrived just in time.

By now, LUCIFER had sent more men in, and the group soon comes under fire again. Amar asks Kabir to take the victims out of the building safely. He also has a brief discussion with him privately. Rubai notices that Kabir's expression was reluctant towards whatever he was told, but he still agreed.

As Kabir leaves with the victims, Meghna, Rishi, Amar and Rubai end up in another hustle with the new armed men. They manage to take down some but more keep pouring.

"You and Meghna go ahead. We can handle this. My team will be reaching here soon." Rubai screams at Pathaan among the commotion.

"You sure?" He screams back.

"Yes! Go now or we'll lose LUCIFER." She responds.

Pathaan gives her one last look and heads the other way with Meghna.
