Hi! So I just wanted to give a quick PSA. In this chapter, a girl by the name of Jin is mentioned. I usually incredibly dislike adding characters not from the Naruto universe themselves, which is why she'll only be here for the next two chapters, and only in flashbacks! Please bear with me, as I couldn't find a character Harumi's age from the verse to put instead T-T

Happy reading!

Harumi sighed, crossing her arms as everyone got ready to leave. She was a bit upset with it, seeing as how Deidara was leaving with Sasori. She'd be stuck back into the silence. Not to mention that there would be no more people to bring butterflies to life. It would be so much easier if she could just be paired up with a chatty partner in the future.

"What's got you looking all down?" Deidara questioned before smirking. "You're going to miss me, is that it?"

Harumi let out an exaggerated sigh, shaking her head. "I'm being left to silence. As for missing you, I think it'll be the opposite. While Itachi is quiet, I think I can push Kisame into conversation. Sasori, on the other hand, is the quietest and most grumpy person I know. Good luck with that."

"Tch. Hm!" Deidara huffed, crossing his arms. She was somewhat right. Sasori wouldn't talk to him unless it was to complain. He had actually come to enjoy having the squirt around. She was silent when needed, but didn't mind conversation either. Whether it was initiating it, or continuing it, she was able to keep it somewhat lively. Now he had to go back to nearly complete silence. He usually didn't mind it, but she'd gotten him used to having someone to talk with. "Whatever. I've got to go."

Harumi nodded, leaning more on her left foot as she waved. "See you later. Good luck with Sasori."

Deidara rolled his eyes, leaving with his partner. Harumi turned her head to Kisame and Itachi, to which both of them waited. She exhaled, walking with them. "So which village are we going to?" she asked.

"There is one we need to stop at ahead. It's right beside the Red-Ghost village," Kisame said. Harumi's raised a brow, Red-Ghost village? What was that? She'd never heard of it, and she'd memorized most of villages' names. Sure, there were a few she might have just forgotten or not heard of, but Red-Ghost? That didn't sound like a typical village name. Itachi must have noticed her confused face, so he spoke up.

"It was a village that was killed in a single night," Itachi stated. Her brows furrowed. How sad. Still, what did that have to do with the name? She was about to ask when Itachi continued. "All the bodies were found dead, but there wasn't a drop of blood on the ground. The name came from the story that their spirits are red with the blood that never spilled."

"People say it's haunted with silence as no one heard any screams that night except a girl's in the middle of the night, shrilling through the air." Kisame grinned.

Harumi's eyes widened. What a tale. She felt her heart clench a bit, but shook her head. She pushed her feelings and memories aside, walking alongside her comrades to wherever they were going. Soon enough, they reached their destination. Itachi and Kisame were looking around for something, Harumi not really caring as she eyed all the food shops. She needed to get something healthy to build up her body. Maybe vegetables with some chicken on the side. She then saw Kisame say something to Itachi before parting from the two.

"Where'd he go?" she asked.

"To get something. He will be back in an hour or so," Itachi replied. She nodded in understanding. They both walked around, looking at all the stands.

'Yes, I did.'

The words circled her head as she remembered how her drunken self had asked Itachi if he'd loved her. Her hands fisted tightly, the memory flashing through her mind. He had loved her, just as she did him. There were few people she'd ever loved. Itachi, Hido, her parents, and...there were two people that flashed her mind, making her heart clench. Mikoto was one of them. When she was younger, after finally running away from Orochimaru, she was shunned by many in her clan.
