Harumi looked down at the paper which had the drawing of a blue necklace on it. This person was reminding her of what she'd done. Telling her she wasn't allowed to forget about it.

Itachi walked up to her, seeing what was written on the paper. He realized it must not have meant much to him, but a great deal to Harumi as she stared at it with sadness, and what seemed like anger. He was about to take the paper away from her to read the front of it before she suddenly crumbled it in her hand.

She shoved it into her pocket before grabbing her own paper. She pulled out a pencil and wrote something on a small piece of paper. She then grabbed the nail from earlier and stuck it into the ground before she stuck it into the ground. She could take a threat to her, she could take a threat to Habiki, but a threat to Hido? Hido who did nothing? It angered her as she remembered why she lost control in the first place. Her reply said 'Come and get me then'. Itachi wondered what that meant, and was sure to ask her about it later.

She walked back to Kisame, Itachi standing next to her. "There's nothing to go on because the killer's dead," Harumi eyed her comrades. "I killed her."

"What do you mean, 'you killed her'?" Kisame raised a brow.

"She killed someone I cared about, so I killed her. It's as simple as that," Harumi replied. She knew she was lying, but she didn't need them to know the truth. It was none of their business.

"What do we report to Pain then?"

"We tell him that. I didn't realize until I got to the village that I already killed the killer. The client must be family who's angry with me," Harumi simply put. Itachi felt there was more to the story, but knew that no matter how much they pushed her, this would be her final answer.

"Alright then. He will decide what to do with the information himself," Kisame said. They would await further orders after. "Why don't you tell him, Harumi?"

"Okay," she said before putting her fingers together. She focused her chakra as she waited for a voice to say something

"Harumi," Pain's voice said inside her head. "Have you completed the mission?"

"The killer is dead, sir. I killed her not too long ago. Unfortunately, it seems our client wanted me more dead than the actual killer. Or maybe not, and they really thought the killer was still alive. Either way, it doesn't matter," she explained.

Pain waited for a moment before nodding. There wasn't much to do about it now if their client's target was already dead. "I will speak to them and tell them what happened. Nonetheless, this took up our time and resources, so you will all be getting paid regardless."

"Thank you," she replied before his voice faded out.

She turned back to Itachi who was waiting along with Kisame. They both heard, nodding. She sighed, turning to the forest. She knew this would mean their journey would continue. Still, what was weighing on her mind the most was Hido. The note said, 'I'm coming for you three'. That meant she might've already been on her way to kill Hido, if she hadn't already.

A wave of panic suddenly hit Harumi, her hands fisting. No, she needed to think more positively. Hido was most likely fine. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves, but that feeling of uncertainty...it was unsafe. She would have to confirm his safety. She needed to find a place to settle down to do it. She then turned back to Itachi and Kisame who seemed to be talking about something.

"The sun's going to be setting soon," Harumi stated. "Do you guys want to keep going and hope we find a village or do you want to set camp somewhere in the forest?"
