Akito glared at her as she coughed, Jin shaking Harumi's unconscious body. "Hido, I think she's dead."
"Well then you're even." Hido rolled his eyes. Jin snorted, waving her hand before getting up, looking at Itachi.
"Sharingan...you're Itachi Uchiha! I've heard a lot about you. Got to say, I'm not your biggest fan," Jin spoke casually. After having nearly been killed by her best friend, she lost all fear of death.
Itachi watched her for a moment, unsure of what to respond with. He decided to ignore her, eyeing Akito's bruised body. Jin raised a brow, her hands on her hips.
"Jin." Hido sent her a look to which she responded with 'relax'. He sighed, knowing she didn't know who they were but still, being cautious wouldn't do her any harm.
"Bitch," Akito whispered as she wiped the blood dripping from her mouth while looking at Harumi's unconscious body. Hido raised a brow, giving her a disapproving look. Akito rolled her eyes, wincing as she held her side.
Hido frowned at her, eyes narrowing a bit. "Say, Akito, how do you know the very same people who dragged Harumi away for a year?"
Jin's brows raised. "Aki, you know these guys?"
Akito looked at Kisame, almost glaring to say 'you let your comrade pulverize me?'. He grinned, shrugging. She sighed, this was so troublesome. Screw Kisame. She turned her head to Hido, blinking her pretty eyes at him before patting the top of his head. "I was blackmailed into it, I didn't want to do it. I'm still the same Akito. I love you."
Jin froze, staring at her before frowning. "You're kidding, right? I mean, you've been with Hido for a year now. You would've told him by now."
Hido suddenly shoved Akito off of him, staring down at her with narrowed eyes. "We'll talk about this later, and we will talk about it. First, I have to make sure my friend- who you got sent away, is okay."
Jin was beyond lost before turning to Kisame. "Sorry, who are you? I mean the cloaks. The voodoo appearing out of nowhere thing. Who are you guys?" Jin crossed her arms, a little more worried for her friend now.
"I don't think you need to know," Kisame said.
Hido then turned his head to Itachi, the one person he hated closest to someone else. This was the guy who tried to kill Harumi so out of the blue after killing his family. And he was so close to her. He didn't even want to know the terrible things Harumi went through with this group of people. Itachi stared back, eyeing Harumi before looking at Hido again. There seemed to be tension growing in the air between them, both thinking something somewhat similar. Hido gritted his teeth. He'd seen Itachi around a few times during his anbu days, and seeing him again now, the change was so apparent.
"Well," Jin smiled, sending Hido a look that said 'back down' before turning to them. "Lovely meeting you two, but we should probably go now. Thanks for giving our friend back."
"You need to give her back now," Itachi told Hido, waiting for him to put her down.
"And leave her with the guy who just knocked her out? Or previously tried to kill her? Yeah, I don't think so," Hido's eyes narrowed.
"I wasn't asking," Itachi told him simply. The tension came back, thick and suffocating.
Jin held Harumi's hand as she was in Hido's arms, a peaceful look on her face. Panther felt her warmth, and it bothered him to know it would be gone soon. Hido wanted to take Harumi away, but knew he couldn't defeat these guys from the description she'd given him. He let out a rough sigh before putting her down, moving away. Jin's smile was long gone as a serious look was on both their faces.
