[ Dusty's House, Daisy Coopers ]
DAISY FIGURED SHOWING UP WAS A BAD IDEA. Daisy didn't even need to show her wristband before someone was waving her through the front door. The house was already packed wall to wall with sweaty bodies, loud music, and the overwhelming smell of cheap alcohol.
She hesitated for only a second before stepping inside properly, pulling her jacket tighter around herself as she scanned the crowd. Truthfully, she hadn't even wanted to come. She'd only left the house because sitting at home with her thoughts felt worse.
Cash was somewhere around, last time she'd seen him he'd been hovering in the kitchen with Chook and the others but Daisy hadn't paid enough attention to where he disappeared after that. It didn't take long for Spider to find her.
"Daisy!" He pushed through a couple standing near the hallway before stopping directly in front of her, slightly breathless like he'd been searching properly. Daisy immediately rolled her eyes at the grin spreading across his face.
"You actually came." His gaze swept over her outfit shamelessly. "And you look hot, baby."
"You're disgusting," Daisy muttered automatically, already looking around the room for Missy. Her outfit was definitely more revealing than normal, but that was mostly because Missy had picked it out and refused to let her change three separate times. "I just needed to get out of the house. Missy practically begged me to come."
Spider smirked knowingly. "Right. Missy begged you."
"Oh my god, shut up." She shuddered, tightening her grip on her jacket.
"You want a drink?" he offered casually, holding out the bottle in his hand.
Daisy grabbed it before he could change his mind, eyeing it suspiciously. "Didn't spike it, did you?"
Spider's eyes dropped briefly to her lips as she lifted the bottle. "You wish, Coopers."
Before Daisy could think of another comeback, Missy suddenly appeared beside them, immediately hooking an arm through Daisy's and dragging her away from Spider with a dramatic glare. Spider only laughed while Daisy let herself be pulled into the crowd.
As the night went on, more people flooded into the house and the music only got louder. Daisy tried to focus on dancing with Missy and the others, but every couple of minutes she caught Spider staring at her from across the room.
Sometimes he'd be talking with Ant or Dusty, other times leaning against the wall with a drink in his hand, but somehow his attention always drifted back to her. Apparently, she wasn't the only one noticing.
"Babe," Missy yelled over the music, nudging Daisy hard enough to nearly spill her drink, "Spider has not stopped looking at you all night."
Daisy glanced over instinctively and immediately regretted it when she caught Spider already watching her.
"Holy shit," Missy gasped suddenly, eyes widening. "You hooked up, didn't you?" Daisy nearly choked.
"Missy!" She slapped a hand over her friend's mouth instantly while Missy cackled against her palm.
"Oh my god, you did!"
"It was one time," Daisy hissed once she finally moved her hand away. "And now he's acting weird about it."
Missy's expression shifted immediately into something mischievous. "I have an idea."
Daisy narrowed her eyes. "That look never ends well."
"Just trust me."
Before Daisy could question her further, Missy reached up, cupping her cheek dramatically before leaning in close. Daisy realised what she was doing half a second too late, but she played along anyway, her hands instinctively moving into Missy's hair while Missy rested hers against Daisy's waist.
