[ Daisy Cooper ]
"DOUG, it's fine." Daisy sported a relieved smile, more relief in her system than there had been in years, "I'm truly fine, truly." She promised, squeezing his hand, sat in the passenger seat of his car. She had been living with Cash for almost two weeks now and she had never been happier.
"Are you sure you want to stay out for this one?" He asked her for the third time, pulling up to another house.
"Yes!" She opened the passenger door before he could protest, "I'm so sure." She practically yelled at him, skipping up the driveway as she rung the doorway waiting patiently while Cash walked behind her. Rocking on her feet, she watched as Cash held a bag of food tightly, the door swinging open.
Daisy couldn't hide the shock on her face when Miss Obah opened the door, and clearly neither could Cash when he cleared his throat, "Miss, holy shit you're here." She greeted happily, handing her the bag from Cash's hand.
"Uh.. holy shit you're here?" Miss Obah stated awkwardly taking the food hesitantly, "Of course you guys are Emu Eats drivers." She groaned, even as Daisy offered a bright smile to ease the tension, "Daisy, are you— are you okay?" She nodded reassuringly.
"I'm perfect, and you?" She winced, baring her teeth awkwardly. The table had revealed more secrets, these ones lies, insisted Miss Obah and Amerie had had a sexual relationship.
"Well." Her eyes watered, "I'm on a temporary sex offenders list." Daisy's smile dropped from her face, suddenly feeling a little guilty acting some happy. Silence filled the group before Cash spoke again, Daisy dropping his shamefully.
"Well, at least it's not the permanent one." Daisy winced even at Cash's words as Miss Obah begin shutting the door.
"Goodbye Daisy, Cash." The door clicked shut as the pair sauntered back gossiping all the way into the car.
"You have such a way with words." Daisy giggled as they reversed from Miss Obah's driveway and continued. After a few more deliveries Daisy had grown tired and Cash had sped home. When they spotted a particularly expensive looking car outside their house Cash jolted from the car beating Daisy to their front door.
"Why the fuck are you here, huh?" Cash even with the height different shoving Spider against the wall, gripping the collar of his shirt, "You leave her alone you hear me—
"Doug, enough." Daisy snapped stomping over to pull at Cash's jacket, "He just wants to talk." Reluctantly Cash begun to loosen his grip, "I want to talk as well." Cash released Spider stepping back to make his way back to the front door, slamming the door as he entered.
"Hi Spencer." Her eyes widened in surprise when the blonde pressed forward, wrapping his arms around her. She tensed but after a moment she relaxed and wrapped her arms around his waist.
"Is this okay Daisy?" He mumbled against her hair, when she replied yes, he only tightened his grip. He smelled amazing she thought, like an expensive cologne that smelled of salt and sage.
They remained together a moment longer before Daisy opened her eyes and spotted somebody through the window.
"Nan!" Daisy wiggled from Spider's grip, her cheeks awfully red, "What the fuck." The blinds were wide open and Spider could see what she was yelling at, an older woman peering through them, "Give us some bloody privacy." Daisy squeezed the roots of her hair.
"Daisy?" The old woman made a show of adjusting her glasses, "Oh, I didn't even see you there." When she winked at Spider, Daisy lost it.
"Oh, drop the act." She scolded, "Stop perving on my boyfriend." Boyfriend. Then both teens went red when Cash's grandma clapped her hands together in a frantic fashion, "Friend— I mean friend." She squealed covering her face as Spider begun laughing behind her.
