"I'M TIRED, was up all night..." Spider stopped mid-conversation with Ant the second Daisy looked over at him from across the room. His grin turned sly almost instantly. "Watching jelly wrestling." Daisy's eyes narrowed immediately.
Last night had definitely not involved jelly wrestling.

Beside her, Cash rubbed awkwardly at the back of his neck. Daisy had refused to do his washing the day before after finding three week old socks shoved beneath the couch cushions, meaning Cash had been forced to dig through old clothes for something clean. Unfortunately, the only thing he'd found was a bright blue shirt that made him look like a six-year-old on his first day of transition.

"You look ridiculous," Daisy informed him flatly.

"Says you," Cash muttered. "You're wearing a long skirt thing— in summer."

Daisy instinctively touched the skirt she wore loosely around her waist. "Difference is I pull mine off."

Cash opened his mouth, paused, then sighed dramatically. "Actually yeah, fair."

"I wish this annoying class was cancelled," Daisy groaned instead, resting her face in her hands beneath the desk. Her feet tapped restlessly against the chair legs. "I'm so behind on everything."

Cash finally turned properly toward her at that, expression softening. "Stop lying to yourself, you'll catch up in like two seconds, Daisy Mae."
He nudged her shoulder lightly.

A small smile tugged at her lips despite herself because annoyingly, he was right. Missing a week of Year Ten wasn't exactly life ending. Between moving out, her father, and everything else happening lately, school had barely been her biggest concern. Still stressed her out though.

"Get off the table, Spencer!" Daisy turned automatically toward the front of the classroom at Woodsy's sharp voice. Spider was sprawled lazily across the top of a desk near the back row, long legs stretched out like he owned the place. At the mention of his name, he dragged himself off the table dramatically before glancing toward Daisy.

Then he winked. The idiot. Heat rushed to her cheeks instantly and she whipped back around before anyone could notice. Unfortunately for her, Missy definitely noticed. The brunette's grin widened from across the room while Sasha looked seconds away from bursting into laughter.

They hadn't officially told anyone they were together yet, but at this point it was hardly subtle. Spider practically orbited around her half the time, and Daisy wasn't exactly helping by blushing every time he looked at her for too long.

The class eventually shuffled into a different classroom, everyone complaining loudly while Woodsy barked insults at random students trying to sit wherever they pleased.

"Uh, Miss?" Darren called out while dragging a chair across the floor loudly enough to make everyone wince. "Why've we moved classrooms?"

"And where's Miss Obah?" Darren added quickly after. Daisy noticed the absence too, she actually liked Miss Obah.Which unfortunately probably meant disaster was incoming.

"Miss Obah will no longer be taking the sexual literacy tutorials." Woodsy clasped her hands together proudly at the front of the room. "There's a new sheriff in town." Daisy physically had to hide her face behind her hand to stop herself laughing.

"What the fuck," Spider muttered from somewhere behind her.

"Sheriff?" Missy repeated loudly, deeply concerned.

"It's me," Woodsy announced proudly. "I'm the sheriff." Spider groaned dramatically while dropping lower into his seat. Daisy could practically feel his eyes drifting toward her every few seconds. Eventually curiosity got the better of her and she glanced back briefly.
