We stood outside the opera house, admiring the view and watching the passers by, waiting for our taxi that would take us to a place Shaun knew well so we could get our supplies.

Shaun looked at me and came to stand beside me.

“I love your artwork by the way iz.” He said smiling at me and winking.

“Thanks.” I replied giggling. “I try to be original with my work.”

Sonny walked over to us smiling widely, he was standing with us just for something to do. “That chick just gave me the weirdest look.” He stated.

“She probably thinks a wild monkey’s escaped from the zoo.” Shaun laughed.

I shot him a look. “That wasn’t very nice.” But sonny was smiling so I assumed everything was still ok.

Our taxi arrived and we got in, sonny shut the door after I got in.

I saw his eyes widen in astonishment and his hands move to his face as he saw his reflection, and my artwork, in the window of the car door.

A look of shock and mischief crossed his face.

Shaun told the driver where we were headed; and we drove off laughing.

Watching as sonny glared after the taxi in the rear view mirror, but he was grinning, so I knew I was forgiven for my little surprise.

But I also knew that there was going to be my own little surprise in the future; you never gave something out unless you wanted to get something back.

That was one of the main rules in our little tour family, it kept life interesting.

The taxi dropped us off at a local shopping centre; I let my inner chef take control, looking for things that we would enjoy after an exhausting show.

Shaun went to get drinks for tonight, while I went into the supermarket close by.

After a few minutes I was joined by Shaun.

We spent half an hour debating on what we wanted for a party.

After a few screaming fans in the middle of the shopping centre, followed by many pictures; Everything was scanned and paid for and we were on our way back to the venue.

Sonny greeted us, his face now artwork free, but there were still faint lines where he couldn’t wash off the black marks.

I handed Shaun the shopping and hid behind him.

Sonny looked at me puzzled “Iz, what the hell are you doing?”

“I’m hiding, what does it look like?” I replied, peeking out from behind Shaun, who laughed at me.

“What are you hiding from?” Shaun asked; stepping to the side, and leaving me exposed.

“Sonny.” I replied blushing.

Sonny laughed at me, Shaun joined his as I tried to regain my dignity. “And the point of hiding from sonny is?”

“That he might try and attack me with a sharpie army before the show.” I laughed.

I knew sonny wasn’t one to hold grudges, but that didnt stop him from getting annoyed.

Sonny began laughing hysterically at me, “me, you, sharpie, army, HA!”

Shaun also broke into laugher, I followed suit; sonny’s laughter was contagious.

After a few minutes of laughter, we walked back inside with the supplies.

Sneaking into the green room I placed the food and the drinks under the pile of clothes that myself and Shaun were planning to wear for the show tonight.

We had a lot of clothes, including two changes just in case anything happened, so it didn’t look that bad, it just looked like we had bulky clothes.

My phone vibrated in my pocket, it was a message from Shaun.

“come on stage, I’ve gotta show you something.”

I made sure everything was covered and made my way to the stage.

When I got there it was all dark.

“Shaun?” I called out, using my phone for light.

I heard him laugh, it sounded far away.

Hands covered my eyes and everything went darker, if that was possible.

“Shaun, you’re an idiot.” I said, turning and wrapping my arms around his waist.

“but you love me.” He said from behind me.

If Shaun was behind me, who was I hugging?!

“SHARPIE ARMY ATTACK!” sonny cried and began to attack me.

I squealed and tried to protect my face, Shaun pulled my arms behind me, laughing.

Soon my face was covered in ink.

“ok, go!” sonny yelled. The lights came on.

He quickly took a few pictures and then ran off.

Laughing I chased him, leaving Shaun still standing on stage.
