Stacey was phenomenal; she had my complete attention just by walking into the same room I was in.
The amount of times I’d zoned out while thinking of her were too many to count.
Although something tugged at the back of my mind, like a fly stuck in my head, it was annoying, it was there; I just couldn’t catch it to get rid of it.
I loved the looks people would give me when they saw her next to me.
Pure jealousy, my ego rapidly grew bigger and bigger.
With Stacey by my side and friends all around us, I was happy.
“Andy.” She said lifting her head from my chest.
My heart squeezed every time she said my name.
“Andy? Hello… earth calling Andy.” Stacey said waving her hands in front of my eyes, clicking her fingers as she did so.
“Mmmmmmmmmm?” I said falling back into reality
“what do you want for your birthday?” she asked me again.
Looking into her eyes I felt myself falling into their endless depths.
“umm.” I said looking away from them.
If I was going to answer her I was gunna have to concentrate, my mind was blank.
“Well?” she said wrapping her arms around my neck.
I looked at her again. “Honestly Staz, do I really have to tell you? You’re everything I’ve ever wanted, all I ever need. In fact,” I said pausing “i'm pretty sure that i'm dreaming; I keep thinking i'm going to wake up as a high school dropout, and all this is just in my head. You’re too perfect staz.”
She flushed a bright pink, and looked away from my gaze. She was so cute.
“There’s only one way to prove that you’re not dreaming.” Stacey said, standing on her tiptoes and touching her nose to mine.
Her lips brushed against my own as she said it, my own little temptress.
I closed my eyes and lifted her up off the ground, kissing her softly and sweetly; trying to show her how much I loved her.
SLAP! She hit me.
I looked at her, dazed and puzzled; wondering why she hit me. “What was that for?”
“To prove you’re awake.” She said laughing, turning and running through the door in front of me.
“Ouch.” I said sarcastically; crossing my arms in front of me and pouting like a child. “That cut me stace, cut me real deep.” I clutched my chest and fell to my knees, melodramatically.
I heard her laughter from the other side of the door; it was soft but I still heard it.
“I need comfort food, that means i'm gunna eat all that chocolate, there’s not gunna be any left.” I called towards the door she was hiding behind; chuckling to myself I walked around the corner and stayed there, waiting for Stacey to come past me.
It wasn’t long before I heard soft footsteps approaching me, Staceys soft laughter reached my ears.
“RAWR!” I said jumping towards her, waving my hands in front of me, and then ticking her.
She squealed and tried to fight back.
Ah; my Stacey. She was never one to go down without a fight.
I hooked my foot behind her and gently pushed her backwards, slowing her fall with my hands on her arms; her eyes grew wide with surprise and shock, gripping her hands before she hit the floor.
I pinned her against the ground and continued ticking her.
She kept laughing and squirming under me.
“Stop! Cant. Breathe.” She laughed.
Obliging I stood up, pulling her up with me.
I let her catch her breath, slumping against the wall.
Stacey sat down breathing deeply, her cheeks were flushed pink from laughing so much.
I heard more footsteps coming towards us.
I turned to face the approaching person, it was Shaun, he had a worried expression on his face.
“Hey.” He said. “Have you seen izzy?”
“Yeah.”
His features relaxed as he walked towards me. The relief was short lived, and was once again quickly replaced by worry as he saw that izzy wasn’t with us.
“How long ago did you see her?”
“umm.” I said thinking back. “About an hour ago I think.”
“Huh? What’s this?” Stacey said looking up at me, her eyes switching from me to Shaun and back again.
Shaun turned to her; she looked at him, her eyes large and filled with worry. “I can’t find izzy anywhere, and she’s not answering her phone.”
Stacey gasped her hands covered her mouth.
“Shit.” I said.
